5. Setup and Installation

Installation of the DAYBETTER WiFi Recessed Lights is designed to be straightforward. No specialized electrician is typically needed for standard installations. Always ensure power is disconnected before beginning.

5.1 Installation Steps

  1. Cut Hole: Using a suitable hole saw, cut a circular hole in the ceiling with a diameter between 6.2 inches and 6.5 inches.
  2. Connect Wires: Open the junction box. Connect the household wiring to the junction box wires using wire nuts: green wire to Earth line, white wire to Neutral line, and black wire to Live line. Ensure connections are secure.
  3. Connect Fixture: Connect the recessed light fixture's cable to the junction box.
  4. Secure Fixture: Push the spring-loaded clips on the sides of the recessed light fixture upwards. Insert the fixture into the ceiling hole. The clips will spring back down to secure the fixture in place.
