5. Setup & Installation

5.1 Wiring Instructions

Before proceeding, ensure the main power supply is OFF at the circuit breaker. Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the device or electrical shock. If you are unsure, consult a qualified electrician.

Figure 2: Wiring Diagram for the ANTELA XZ-TDW101 Smart Switch.

  1. Disconnect Power: Turn off the main power supply to the circuit where you intend to install the smart switch.
  2. Identify Wires: Locate the Live (L), Neutral (N), and Load (L-out) wires, as well as the wire from your traditional wall switch (S).
  3. Connect Neutral: Connect the Neutral wire from your electrical system to the 'N-in' terminal on the smart switch. Also, connect the Neutral wire going to your light fixture/load to the 'N-out' terminal (if applicable, or ensure the load's neutral is connected to the main neutral).
  4. Connect Live Input: Connect the Live wire from your electrical system to the 'L-in' terminal on the smart switch.
  5. Connect Load Output: Connect the Live wire going to your light fixture or appliance (Load-1) to the 'L-out' terminal on the smart switch.
  6. Connect Wall Switch: Connect one wire from your traditional wall switch to the 'S' terminal on the smart switch. Connect the other wire from your traditional wall switch to the 'L-in' terminal (or the Live wire from your electrical system). This allows the traditional switch to control the smart relay.
  7. Secure Connections: Ensure all wire connections are tight and secure.
  8. Mount Device: Place the mini smart switch inside the wall box, ensuring it does not obstruct the traditional switch.
  9. Restore Power: Once all connections are secure and the device is properly mounted, restore power at the circuit breaker.

Note: The device requires a Neutral wire for operation. Ensure a Neutral wire is present in your switch box.

5.2 App Download and Pairing

The ANTELA Smart Switch uses the Smart Life app.

  1. Download App: Search for "Smart Life" in your mobile app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android) and download the app.
  2. Register/Login: Open the Smart Life app and register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Add Device:
    • Ensure your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled.
    • Open the Smart Life app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device.
    • The app should automatically discover the new device via Bluetooth. If not, select "Electrical" -> "Switch (Wi-Fi)" or "Relay Switch".
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the device to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. You may need to put the device into pairing mode (often by pressing the connected physical switch multiple times or holding it, refer to app instructions).
  4. Rename Device: Once connected, you can rename the device for easier control (e.g., "Living Room Light").
