Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your EKO Madison trash can:
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the trash can from its packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Position the Inner Liners: The unit comes with two color-coded inner liners (one 25L and one 20L). Place the black liner in the larger compartment and the green liner in the smaller compartment. Ensure they are seated correctly.
- Insert Trash Bags: For optimal fit and to prevent bags from slipping, use EKO Code F-1 trash bags for the 20L recycling compartment. Standard 13-gallon kitchen bags can be used for the 25L trash compartment. Utilize the bag fixer holes inside the liners to secure the bags.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your trash can:
- Cleaning the Exterior: The fingerprint-resistant stainless steel exterior can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can damage the finish.
- Cleaning Inner Liners: The plastic inner liners can be removed and washed with soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back into the unit.
- Odor Filter: The lid features a built-in deodorizer compartment. For best results, insert an EKO carbon filter (sold separately) into this compartment. Replace the filter regularly to maintain freshness and control odors.
