4.1. Battery Installation (SZ301 Multimeter)

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the SZ301 Multimeter.
  2. Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment.
  3. Insert the two AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

4.2. Charging (PN130 Clamp Meter)

The PN130 Clamp Meter features a rechargeable lithium battery. Use a standard Type-C charger (e.g., a phone charger) to charge the device. The charging port is typically located on the side or bottom of the unit.

4.3. Connecting Test Leads (SZ301 Multimeter)

For most measurements, connect the red test lead to the VΩmA+ input jack and the black test lead to the COM (common) input jack. For 10A current measurements, connect the red test lead to the 10A MAX input jack.

5.1. ANENG SZ301 Multimeter Operation

The SZ301 Multimeter features a rotary dial for selecting measurement functions and a clear LCD display for readings.

Measuring AC/DC Voltage:

  1. Turn the rotary dial to the desired ACV (V~) or DCV (V-) range.
  2. Connect the red test lead to the VΩmA+ jack and the black test lead to the COM jack.
  3. Place the test probes across the circuit or component to be measured.

Measuring Resistance (Ω):

  1. Turn the rotary dial to the Ω range.
  2. Ensure the circuit is de-energized before measurement.
  3. Connect the test probes across the resistor or component.

Continuity Test:

  1. Turn the rotary dial to the continuity symbol (speaker icon).
  2. Connect the test probes across the circuit or wire. A continuous beep indicates continuity.

Diode Test:

  1. Turn the rotary dial to the diode symbol.
  2. Connect the red probe to the anode and the black probe to the cathode of the diode. The display will show the forward voltage drop. Reverse the probes to check for open circuit.

Measuring AC/DC Current (Clamp):

  1. Turn on the PN130 Clamp Meter.
  2. Open the U-shaped jaw and clamp it around a single conductor (not a bundle of wires).
  3. The current reading will be displayed on the screen.

Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection:

  1. Press and hold the SELECT button to activate the NCV function.
  2. Bring the clamp head near the wire or circuit you wish to test for voltage.
  3. The tester will emit a beep and/or flash an indicator when detecting an electromagnetic field, indicating the presence of AC voltage.
