5.3 Mowing Techniques
- For best results, mow dry grass.
- Overlap cutting swaths slightly to ensure even coverage.
- Avoid overloading the motor by cutting excessively tall or thick grass. If the motor slows down, raise the cutting height or reduce your pushing speed.
- When mulching, mow more frequently and only remove the top one-third of the grass blade.
- When bagging, empty the grass collection bag regularly to maintain optimal performance and prevent clogging.
6. Maintenance
Always remove the safety key and battery pack before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
6.1 Cleaning
- After each use, clean the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass buildup, which can affect cutting performance. Use a stiff brush or scraper.
- Wipe down the exterior of the mower with a damp cloth. Do not use water hoses or pressure washers directly on the mower.
- Clean the grass collection bag regularly to ensure proper airflow.
6.2 Blade Care
- Inspect the blade regularly for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can tear grass, leading to an unhealthy lawn.
- If the blade is dull, it can be sharpened by a qualified service technician or replaced with a genuine Maxlander replacement blade.
- Ensure the blade is balanced after sharpening to prevent vibration.
6.3 Storage
- Before storing, ensure the mower is clean and dry.
- Remove the battery pack and store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Fold the handle for compact storage.
- Store the mower in a secure, dry location, protected from weather elements.
