5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Wall Mounting
The wall safe is designed to fit between standard 16-inch on-center wall studs. Proper installation is crucial for security and stability.
- Select Location: Choose a discreet location between two wall studs. Use a stud finder to accurately locate the center of the studs.
- Mark and Cut Opening: Carefully mark the outline of the safe's body on the wall. Ensure the opening is slightly smaller than the safe's flange to allow for a flush fit. Cut the drywall or other wall material along the marked lines.
- Drill Pilot Holes: With the safe positioned in the opening, mark the locations for the mounting bolts through the pre-drilled holes on the safe's frame. Remove the safe and drill pilot holes into the wall studs.
- Secure the Safe: Insert the safe into the wall opening. Align the mounting holes with the pilot holes in the studs. Use the provided mounting bolts to securely fasten the safe to the wall studs. Tighten all bolts firmly.

5.2 Battery Installation
The electronic lock requires batteries for operation. The battery compartment is typically located on the inside of the safe door or behind the keypad. Insert the required number of AA batteries (not included) into the battery case, observing correct polarity. Connect the battery case to the safe's internal power connector.
5.3 Shelf Adjustment
The safe includes three removable shelves. To adjust or remove a shelf, simply lift it and reposition it to the desired height or remove it entirely to accommodate taller items.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Initial Access (Emergency Key)
Upon first receiving the safe, use the emergency key to open the door. Locate the badge or cover on the keypad, remove it to expose the emergency keyhole. Insert the emergency key and turn it while simultaneously turning the knob to open the safe door.
6.2 Setting/Changing the Combination
The initial password is typically 123456#. To change it:
- With the safe door open, press the internal reset button (usually a small red button).
- Enter your new 3-8 digit code on the keypad.
- Press the "#" button to confirm. The safe will beep to indicate successful programming.
- Test the new code with the door open before closing it.
6.3 Unlocking with Combination
To open the safe using your programmed combination:
- Enter your 3-8 digit combination on the keypad.
- Press the "#" button.
- Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the door.
6.4 Unlocking with Emergency Key
In case of forgotten password or battery failure:
- Remove the cover over the emergency keyhole.
- Insert the emergency key and turn it counter-clockwise.
- Simultaneously turn the knob clockwise to open the door.

6.5 Anti-Theft Alarm System
The safe is equipped with an anti-theft alarm system:
- Incorrect Password Alarm: If an incorrect password is entered 3 times consecutively, the system will activate a warning beep for 60 seconds.
- Movement/Bumping Alarm: The safe is sensitive to unauthorized movement or bumping, which will also trigger the alarm.
- Stopping the Alarm: To stop the alarm, enter the correct user code followed by "#", or power off the safe (if applicable).

6.6 Mute Function
The safe features a mute function to operate silently, which can be useful during nighttime or in quiet environments. Refer to the specific instructions in your safe's quick start guide for activating and deactivating the mute function, as this may vary slightly.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Battery Replacement

7.2 Cleaning
