Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, ensure both the earbuds and the charging case are fully charged. Connect the charging case to a power source using a USB-C cable. The indicator lights on the case will show charging status. A full charge for the case takes approximately 2 hours.

2. Pairing with Your Device

1. Ensure your device's Bluetooth is turned on.
2. Open the charging case and remove both earbuds. They will automatically power on and enter pairing mode.
3. On your device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "Fonus Earbuds" or a similar name from the list.
4. Once connected, a voice prompt will confirm successful pairing, and the earbud indicator lights will turn off or flash slowly.

Note: After the initial pairing, the earbuds will automatically connect to the last paired device when removed from the case, provided Bluetooth is enabled on the device.

Operating Instructions

Wearing the Earbuds

Gently insert the earbuds into your ears, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit. Adjust them until the sound is clear and the fit feels stable. The ergonomic design with gel-flexible silicone earcaps is intended for comfort during long-term use.

Music Playback

• Play/Pause: Tap either earbud once.
• Next Track: Double-tap the right earbud.
• Previous Track: Double-tap the left earbud.
• Volume Control: Adjust volume via your connected device.

Call Management

• Answer/End Call: Tap either earbud once.
• Reject Call: Long press either earbud for 2 seconds.
• The built-in HD microphones provide clear and uninterrupted calls by suppressing surrounding noises.

Single/Binaural Mode

The earbuds support both stereo sound with both earbuds or independent use of a single earbud. Simply place one earbud back into the charging case to use the other independently.

Maintenance

Charging the Earbuds and Case

• Place the earbuds into the charging case. They will automatically begin charging.
• The charging case provides approximately 40 extra hours of battery life for the earbuds.
• To charge the case, connect it to a USB-C power adapter.

Cleaning

Wipe the earbuds and charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Keep the charging contacts on both the earbuds and the case clean to ensure proper charging.

Water Resistance

The earbuds feature an IPX5 sweat and splash-proof design. This means they are resistant to light rain and sweat, making them suitable for workouts. Do not submerge the earbuds in water or expose them to heavy rain. The charging case is not water-resistant.

Troubleshooting

• Earbuds not pairing with device:
  • Ensure both earbuds are fully charged.
  • Turn off and on your device's Bluetooth.
  • Forget the earbuds from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to re-pair.
  • Place earbuds back in the case, close it, wait a few seconds, then open and remove them again.
• Only one earbud working:
  • Ensure both earbuds are charged.
  • Place both earbuds back into the charging case, close the lid, and then take them out together. This often re-syncs them.
  • If the issue persists, try resetting the earbuds (refer to manufacturer's website if a specific reset procedure is available, otherwise, a full charge and re-pairing often works).
• Poor sound quality or disconnections:
  • Ensure the earbuds are fully charged.
  • Move closer to your connected device (within 49 ft range).
  • Check for interference from other wireless devices.
  • Clean any debris from the earbud speakers.
