1. Product Overview

The AGM M8 is a rugged 4G basic flip phone designed for durability and simplicity. It features a robust build with IP68 and IP69K certifications for water and dust resistance, and meets MIL-STD-810G shock resistance standards. Key features include a powerful 104dB speaker, large keypad and fonts for ease of use, an SOS side key for emergencies, and dual SIM card support. This phone is compatible exclusively with GSM T-Mobile carriers.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 SIM Card Installation

The AGM M8 supports dual SIM cards. Ensure your SIM card is activated in another phone before inserting it into the M8 to prevent recognition issues.

Gently open the SIM slot cover on the back of the phone.
Carefully place the SIM card(s) into the designated slot(s). Avoid applying excessive force to prevent damage.
Close the SIM slot cover securely.
Insert the battery into its compartment.
Replace the back cover of the phone.

3.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the phone using the provided power adapter and USB cable. Connect the USB cable to the phone's charging port and the power adapter to a wall outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

To power on: Press and hold the Power/End Call button until the screen lights up.
To power off: Press and hold the Power/End Call button, then select 'Power off' from the options.

4.2 Making Calls

Dial the number using the keypad.
Press the Green Call button to initiate the call.
To end a call, press the Red End Call button.

4.3 Speed Dial

The AGM M8 allows you to set up speed dial shortcuts for frequently called contacts.

Navigate to 'Settings' > 'Phone settings' > 'Speed Dial'.
Assign contacts to the available speed dial keys (M1, M2, M3, or numeric keys).
To use speed dial, press and hold the assigned key.

4.4 SOS Side Key

The SOS side key is designed for emergencies. It can be programmed to call emergency services or designated contacts.

To activate: Press and hold the SOS side button for 3-5 seconds.
To configure: Go to 'Settings' > 'SOS settings' to set emergency contacts and alarm preferences.

4.5 Messaging (SMS/MMS)

The phone supports SMS and MMS with T9 input for easier typing.

Navigate to 'Messages' from the main menu.
Select 'Write message' to compose a new text or multimedia message.
Use the keypad to type your message. The phone supports T9 predictive text.
Enter the recipient's number or select from contacts, then send.

5. Maintenance and Care

Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the phone. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Water and Dust Resistance: The AGM M8 is IP68 and IP69K rated. Ensure all port covers are securely closed to maintain water and dust resistance. Do not intentionally submerge the phone in water.
Temperature: Avoid exposing the phone to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) as this can affect battery life and overall performance.
Battery Care: The 1500mAh Lithium Ion battery is removable. For optimal battery life, avoid overcharging and allow the battery to fully discharge occasionally before recharging.

6. Troubleshooting

Issue	Solution
Phone won't charge.	1. Use the original charger and cable. 2. Perform a Factory Reset: Reset the M8 FLIP to factory settings. The default password for resetting is 1234. After the reset is complete, restart the phone.
Accidental SOS side key activation.	1. After accidentally pressing the SOS side key, stop the alarm by pressing the red hang-up button. 2. Press the 'Main' button, then select 'Settings'. Scroll down to find 'SOS settings', tap on 'SOS Status', and select 'Off'. This will prevent the alarm from sounding if the SOS side key is accidentally pressed again.
Button press sounds are active.	1. Select a Profile Mode: Press the 'Main' button, select 'Profiles', and choose 'Silent' from the options. This will stop the button sounds. 2. Customize Your Profile: In the 'Profiles' menu, press 'Options' to further customize a profile according to your preferences.
Cannot read SIM card.	1. Activate the SIM Card: Ensure that your SIM card is activated by testing it in another phone first. 2. Insert the SIM Card Correctly: When inserting the SIM card into the M8 FLIP, carefully open the SIM card slot and gently place the SIM card inside. Be cautious not to apply excessive force to prevent damaging the slot, which may prevent the SIM card from being read. 3. Check Compatibility: Please reach out to us to verify whether your SIM card's carrier is compatible with the M8 FLIP.
