- Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the frame for any signs of stress, cracks, or damage. Check the seat upholstery for tears or excessive wear.
- Storage: If storing the cockpit for an extended period, ensure it is in a dry, temperate environment to prevent material degradation.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cockpit feels unstable or wobbles. | Loose connections; uneven floor surface. | Check and tighten all assembly bolts. Ensure the cockpit is on a flat, stable surface. |
| Seat adjustment mechanism is stiff. | Accumulated dirt; lack of lubrication. | Clean the slider rails. Apply a silicone-based lubricant if necessary. |
| Peripherals (wheel, pedals) do not fit. | Incorrect mounting; non-standard peripheral. | Verify your peripheral model is listed as compatible. Ensure correct alignment with pre-drilled holes. Some DIY customization may be required for non-standard equipment. |
| Seat feels too high. | Standard seat mounting position. | The seat is designed for a range of users. If a lower position is desired, consider aftermarket seat brackets or modifications (consult a professional if unsure). |
