3.2. Motherboard Installation
- Install the I/O shield into the rear of the case.
- Align your E-ATX (up to 285mm) or smaller motherboard with the standoffs. Ensure all standoffs match the motherboard's screw holes.
- Secure the motherboard with the appropriate screws from the accessory box.
3.3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation
- Mount the PSU into its designated compartment at the bottom rear of the case. The case supports PSUs up to 318mm (200mm with HDD cage installed).
- Secure the PSU with screws.
- Connect the necessary power cables to your motherboard and other components.
3.4. Storage Drive Installation
- For 2.5" SSDs, use the dedicated mounting points behind the motherboard tray.
- For 3.5" HDDs, install them into the removable HDD cage located in the PSU shroud area.
- Secure drives with the provided screws.

3.6. Fan and Radiator Installation
The case comes with 5 pre-installed A-RGB fans. Additional fans or radiators can be installed as follows:
- Top: Supports up to 3x 120mm or 3x 140mm fans, or radiators up to 420mm.
- Side: Supports up to 3x 120mm or 3x 140mm fans, or radiators up to 420mm.
- Rear: Supports 1x 120mm or 1x 140mm fan.
The modular fan rails (Figure 7) allow for flexible fan and radiator placement.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Powering On
Once all components are installed and cables are connected, press the power button on the front I/O panel to start your system.
4.2. A-RGB Lighting Control
The pre-installed A-RGB fans and PSU cover are compatible with most motherboard A-RGB software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync). Connect the A-RGB cables to your motherboard's 5V 3-pin A-RGB header and use the motherboard software to customize lighting effects.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your PC components.
5.1. Cleaning Dust Filters
The ARCTIC Xtender case features magnetic mesh filters (Figure 11) on the top and bottom. Regularly remove and clean these filters to prevent dust buildup and maintain good airflow.
- Gently pull off the magnetic filters.
- Clean them with a soft brush or rinse with water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.

Figure 11: Magnetic mesh filters for easy cleaning.
5.2. General Cleaning
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior of the case. For the tempered glass panel, use a glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth to avoid streaks.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following common solutions:
- System not powering on: Check all power connections, including the 24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, and GPU power cables. Ensure the PSU switch is in the 'ON' position. Verify front panel power button connections to the motherboard.
- Fans not spinning or A-RGB not working: Confirm that all fan and A-RGB cables are securely connected to the motherboard or a dedicated controller. Check motherboard software settings for A-RGB control.
- Overheating: Ensure all fans are spinning correctly and are oriented for optimal airflow. Clean dust filters. Verify proper installation of CPU cooler and thermal paste.
- No display output: Ensure the graphics card is properly seated in its PCIe slot and power cables are connected. Check that the monitor cable is connected to the graphics card, not the motherboard's integrated graphics port (unless using integrated graphics).
