3. Setup
3.1 Initial Use
- Unpack the kettle and all accessories.
- Before first use, fill the kettle with water to the MAX line, boil, then discard the water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to clean the interior.
3.2 Voltage Selection
The DCIGNA D1011 kettle supports dual voltage (110V/220V). It is crucial to select the correct voltage for your region before plugging in the kettle.
- Locate the voltage selector switch on the bottom of the kettle.
- Using a flat-head screwdriver or a similar tool, rotate the switch to either "110V" (for North America, Japan, etc.) or "220V" (for Europe, Asia, etc.).
- Important: Ensure the voltage is correctly set before connecting to a power outlet. Incorrect voltage can cause damage to the kettle and electrical hazards. For use in the US, set to 110V.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Unfolding the Kettle
To prepare the kettle for use:
- Move the handle downward to its resting position.
- Move the handle upward to its pouring position.
- Pull up the kettle body to fully unfold it.
- Ensure the hanging hole on the lid is securely placed onto the hook on the handle.
4.2 Boiling Water
- Ensure the kettle is unfolded and the handle is securely attached.
- Fill the kettle with fresh water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (600ml) and ensure it is above the MIN fill line (200ml).
- Close the lid securely.
- Attach the detachable power cord to the kettle and plug it into a suitable power outlet (ensure voltage is correctly set).
- Press the power switch to the "ON" position. The indicator light will illuminate.
- The kettle will automatically turn off once the water boils. The indicator light will extinguish.
- Carefully pour the hot water using the handle.

4.3 Automatic Features
- Automatic Power Off: The kettle will automatically switch off once the water reaches boiling point.
- Heat Preservation: If the water temperature drops below approximately 75°C (167°F), the kettle will automatically re-heat the water to maintain warmth.
- Boil-Dry Protection: The kettle is equipped with a safety feature that automatically turns it off if it detects no water inside, preventing damage to the heating element.

5.1 Folding the Kettle for Storage
- Ensure the kettle is empty and cool.
- Take out the silicone hanging hole from the hook on the handle.
- Gently press the kettle body downwards until it is fully collapsed.
- Move the handle downward to its resting position.
- Move the handle inward towards the kettle body.
- The kettle is now folded and ready for storage.
5.2 Unfolding the Kettle for Use
- Move the handle downward to its resting position.
- Move the handle upward to its pouring position.
- Pull up the kettle body to fully unfold it.
- Ensure the hanging hole on the lid is securely placed onto the hook on the handle.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your kettle.
- Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Interior: For general cleaning, rinse the interior with water. For stubborn stains or mineral deposits (limescale), fill the kettle with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a descaling solution. Boil the mixture, let it sit for 15-30 minutes, then discard and rinse thoroughly several times.
- Hand Wash Only: This kettle is not dishwasher safe.
- Ensure the kettle is completely dry before storing or next use.
