Setup Instructions
1. Setting Up the Meter
- Remove the battery cover and insert the batteries.
- Press the 'SET' button and wait for the meter to beep.
- To set the year, press the main button to change the value, then press 'SET' to confirm.
- To set the date, press the main button to change the value, then press 'SET' to confirm.
- To set the time, press the main button to change the value, then press 'SET' to confirm.
- Select 'YES' to delete device memory or 'NO' to keep device memory, then press 'SET' to confirm.
- Press the main button to set the device volume from 0 to 7, then press 'SET' to confirm.
- Press the main button to select the device language (L1 for English, L2 for Spanish), then press 'SET' to confirm.
- Set up to four optional alarms by pressing the main button to switch an alarm on or off, then press 'SET' to confirm.
- The meter will automatically turn off once all settings are complete.
2. Setting Up the Lancing Device
- Open the lancing device by twisting and pulling off the cap.
- Insert the lancet all the way in, ensuring it is secure.
- Twist off the safety disk from the lancet tip and set it aside.
- Put the cap back on and twist to lock it in place.
- Select the puncture depth on the tip of the lancing device. Larger settings produce larger blood drops.
- Cock the device by pulling on the top end until the release button turns orange.
Operation
1. Performing a Blood Glucose Test
- Take out a glucose test strip.
- Insert the strip into the meter with the "FORA" side facing up. The meter will automatically turn on.
- Ensure your hands are dry and disinfect them using alcohol.
- Rub the test site (e.g., fingertip) to stimulate blood flow.
- Position the lancing device against the chosen test site and press the release button.
- Press the area to encourage blood flow and form a blood drop.
- Wipe off the first blood drop with a clean tissue.
- Use the second drop for testing.
- Hold the strip at a 45-degree angle to absorb the blood drop.
- Wait 5 seconds for the result to show on the meter.
- Remove the test strip from the meter to power it off.
2. Control Solution Test
Use the Control Solution to check if strips are working properly. This step is needed when:
- The test results aren't correspondent with how you feel.
- You have concern that the meter or strips are malfunctioned.
- You want to check if the meter is working correctly.
- Take out a glucose test strip.
- Insert the strip into the meter with "FORA" in the front side. Wait for the meter to turn on.
- Press the main button until "QC" appears on the screen.
- Shake the control solution bottle.
- Dispose of the first drop of control solution.
- Squeeze a drop of control solution onto the cap of the bottle.
- Absorb the drop with the strip in a 45-degree angled position.
- Wait five seconds for the result.
- Compare the result to the range printed on the test strip container.

Maintenance
1. Lancing Device Disposal
- After use, remove the cap from the lancing device.
- Plug the used needle into its protective cover.
- Eject the lancet into a suitable sharps container.
- Recap the lancing device; it will be ready for the next use.
2. Product Care Instructions
- Store at room temperature.
- Keep away from heat and moisture.
- Do not expose to extreme temperatures.
- Replace caps after use to keep clean and dry.
