Setup and Connection
The X98PRO keyboard offers three connection methods: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C wired.

1. Wired Connection (USB-C)
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard will automatically be recognized and ready for use. The LED screen will indicate wired mode.
2. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection
- Locate the 2.4GHz USB wireless receiver, typically stored in a compartment on the keyboard or included in the packaging.
- Plug the 2.4GHz receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- On the keyboard, switch to 2.4GHz mode using the dedicated switch or shortcut keys (refer to the Operating section for details). The LED screen will display the 2.4G icon.
- The keyboard should automatically connect to the receiver.
3. Bluetooth Connection
The keyboard supports up to three Bluetooth devices.
- On the keyboard, switch to Bluetooth mode using the dedicated switch or shortcut keys (e.g., Fn + 1/2/3). The LED screen will show the Bluetooth icon and the selected channel (BT1, BT2, or BT3).
- To enter pairing mode, press and hold Fn + 1 (or 2 or 3) for 3-5 seconds until the Bluetooth indicator on the LED screen flashes rapidly.
- On your device (computer, tablet, phone), open Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
- Select "ATTACK SHARK X98PRO" from the list of available devices to pair.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator on the LED screen will stop flashing and remain solid.
- To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, simply press Fn + 1/2/3.
Operating Instructions

The 1.5-inch LED screen provides real-time information about the keyboard's status, including connection mode, battery level, date, and time. The multi-function CNC knob allows for quick adjustments.
- Volume Control: Rotate the knob to adjust the system volume.
- Screen Navigation: Press the knob to switch between different display modes or menu functions on the LED screen. Rotate the knob to navigate through options, and press again to confirm.
- Brightness Adjustment: Use Fn + F1 to decrease screen brightness and Fn + F2 to increase screen brightness.
RGB Lighting Control

The X98PRO features 16 million color RGB backlighting with multiple effects. You can control these directly from the keyboard:
- Backlight Effect ON/OFF: Press Fn + \ |
- Brightness Adjustment: Press Fn + ↑ to increase brightness, Fn + ↓ to decrease brightness.
- Change Backlight Effect: Press Fn + → to cycle through effects, Fn + ← for previous effect.
- Change Backlight Color: Press Fn + Enter to change the color of static effects.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Keyboard

- Dust Removal: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
- Deep Cleaning: For a more thorough clean, you can remove the keycaps using the provided keycap puller. Clean the keycaps separately with mild soap and water, ensuring they are completely dry before reattaching.
Hot-Swapping Switches

The X98PRO features hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to change switches without soldering.
- Remove Keycap: Use the keycap puller to gently remove the keycap from the switch you wish to replace.
- Remove Switch: Use the switch puller to grasp the top and bottom clips of the switch. Apply gentle pressure and pull the switch straight up to remove it from the PCB.
- Insert New Switch: Align the pins of the new 3-pin or 5-pin switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight to avoid bending. Gently push the switch down until it clicks into place. Do not force it.
- Reattach Keycap: Place the keycap back onto the new switch.
Note: Ensure the keyboard is disconnected or powered off before hot-swapping switches to prevent accidental damage.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ATTACK SHARK X98PRO keyboard, please refer to the following common solutions:
Keyboard Not Responding / No Power
- Check Battery: Ensure the keyboard has sufficient battery charge. Connect it via USB-C cable to charge.
- Wired Connection: Try connecting the keyboard directly via USB-C cable to rule out wireless issues.
- Power Switch: Ensure the power switch on the keyboard is in the "ON" position.
Wireless Connection Issues (2.4GHz / Bluetooth)

- 2.4GHz Receiver: For 2.4GHz, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer. Try a different USB port.
