Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your air conditioner. Always unplug the unit before cleaning or servicing.

Air Filter Cleaning

It is recommended to clean the air filter at least once every two weeks, or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Turn off and unplug the air conditioner.
  2. Remove the filter grilles from the back of the unit.
  3. Rinse the filters under running water to remove dust and debris.
  4. Allow the filters to air dry completely before re-attaching them to the unit.

Water Drainage

The Dreo Portable Air Conditioner features an auto-evaporation system that minimizes the need for manual drainage. However, in very humid conditions (above 90% humidity) or when using Dry Mode, manual drainage may be required.

  • Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation in high humidity, connect the included drain hose to the main drain outlet at the back of the unit. Lead the other end of the hose into a drain or container positioned lower than the unit.
  • Intermittent Drainage (P1 Error): If the internal reservoir becomes full, the unit will display a 'P1' error code and stop operating. To drain, remove the bottom drain cap and let the water drain into a suitable container until the reservoir is empty. Re-secure the cap.
