4.1. Site Selection

4.3. Water Pipe Connection

The pump includes 1.5-inch and 2-inch NPT inlet adapters for flexible plumbing options. Use the provided waterproof tape for secure, leak-free connections.

Determine the appropriate adapter size (1.5" or 2") for your pool plumbing.
Apply waterproof tape to the threaded connections of the pump and adapters.
Securely attach the adapters to the pump's inlet and outlet ports.
Connect your pool's plumbing (PVC pipes or flexible hoses) to the installed adapters.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Priming the Pump

Before starting the pump for the first time, or after draining for maintenance, the pump must be primed.

Ensure all valves are open to allow water flow from the pool to the pump.
Remove the transparent lid of the filter basket.
Fill the filter basket housing with water until it overflows.
Replace and securely tighten the transparent lid.
Turn on the power to the pump. The pump should begin to draw water and establish flow. If not, repeat the priming process.

5.2. Normal Operation

Once primed, the pump will continuously circulate water through your pool's filtration system. Monitor the pressure gauge on your filter (if applicable) to ensure proper operation. Refer to your filter's manual for ideal operating pressure ranges.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning the Filter Basket

The large removable filter basket collects debris and should be cleaned regularly to maintain pump efficiency.

Close any necessary valves to prevent water flow from the pool.
Unscrew and remove the transparent lid of the filter basket. The transparent lid allows you to view the condition of the filter without removal.
Lift out the filter basket.
Empty any collected debris and rinse the basket thoroughly with water.
Inspect the O-ring on the lid for damage and ensure it is clean and properly seated.
Return the clean basket to its housing and securely replace the lid.
Re-open valves and re-prime the pump if necessary.

6.2. Draining the Pump

For winterization or extended periods of non-use, the pump should be drained to prevent freezing and damage.
