Setup Guide
1. Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove the cash register from its packaging. Inspect all components for any signs of damage. Ensure the following items are present:
- Nadex CR260 Cash Register unit
- Power Adapter
- Thermal Paper Roll (starter roll)
- Cash Drawer Keys (2 included)
- User Manual (this document)

2. Power Connection
- Connect the power adapter to the DCIN port located at the rear of the cash register.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- Flip the power switch (usually located on the side or rear) to the 'ON' position.

3. Loading Thermal Paper
- Open the printer cover located at the top of the unit.
- Insert the 58mm thermal paper roll, ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom and the leading edge is straight.
- Close the printer cover, leaving a small amount of paper protruding.

4. Initial Configuration
Upon first power-on, the cash register may require initial date, time, and basic department/PLU programming. Refer to the 'Operating Instructions' section for detailed programming steps.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Sales Transaction
- Enter the price of the item using the numeric keypad.
- Press the corresponding Department (DEPT) key (e.g., D1, D2).
- Repeat for all items.
- Press the SUBTOTAL key.
- Enter the amount received from the customer.
- Press the CASH key to complete the transaction and open the cash drawer.

2. Programming Departments and PLUs
The CR260 supports up to 50 departments and 4200 Price Look-Ups (PLUs). Detailed programming steps are typically found in the advanced sections of the manual or quick start guide.
- To program a department, enter Program Mode, select the department number, and input its name, price, and tax settings.
- For PLUs, enter Program Mode, input the PLU code, item name, price, and assign it to a department.

3. Using Dual Displays
The cash register is equipped with both an operator LCD screen and an 8-digit customer display. The customer display provides real-time visibility of transactions, including itemized prices, taxes, discounts, and total cost.

4. Reporting Functions
The CR260 offers various reports to help manage your business:
- Financial Reports: Summarize daily, weekly, or monthly sales.
- PLU Reports: Detail sales performance for individual items.
- Hourly Reports: Show sales activity by hour.
- Refund Reports: Track all refund transactions.
To access reports, enter Report Mode and select the desired report type. Reports can typically be printed directly from the register.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Unit
- Regularly wipe the exterior of the cash register with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface.
- Clean the display screens with a lint-free cloth and a mild screen cleaner.
2. Printer Head Cleaning
If print quality degrades, the thermal printer head may need cleaning. Use a specialized thermal printer cleaning pen or isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab to gently wipe the print head surface.
3. Paper Roll Replacement
Replace the thermal paper roll when it runs out. Always use 58mm thermal paper rolls for optimal performance.
