3. Setup Guide

The ABLEWE 8-in-1 USB C Multiport Hub is designed for plug-and-play operation, requiring no driver installation for most operating systems.

  1. Connect to Host Device: Plug the USB-C connector of the hub into an available USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 port on your laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
  2. Connect Power (Optional but Recommended): For stable operation, especially when connecting power-hungry devices or using the HDMI output, connect your device's original USB-C power adapter to the hub's 100W PD port. This will charge your host device through the hub.
  3. Connect Peripherals:
    • HDMI Display: Connect an HDMI cable from your monitor/TV to the hub's HDMI port.
    • Ethernet Network: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router/modem to the hub's RJ45 Ethernet port.
    • USB Devices: Plug your USB flash drives, external hard drives, keyboard, mouse, or other USB peripherals into the USB 3.0 ports.
    • SD/TF Cards: Insert your SD or Micro SD (TF) cards into the corresponding slots.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 HDMI Video Output

Once connected, your device should automatically detect the external display. You can configure display settings (mirror, extend, primary display) through your operating system's display settings.

To achieve 4K@60Hz resolution, ensure your host device's USB-C port supports DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode, and your HDMI cable and external display also support 4K@60Hz.

4.2 Gigabit Ethernet

After connecting the Ethernet cable to the hub and the hub to your device, your operating system should automatically recognize the wired network connection. You can verify the connection status in your network settings.

4.3 USB 3.0 Data Transfer

Plug your USB devices into any of the three USB 3.0 ports. They will function as standard USB ports, allowing for data transfer, peripheral connection, and charging of small devices.

4.4 SD/TF Card Reader

Insert your SD or TF (Micro SD) card into the corresponding slot. The card will appear as a removable drive on your computer, allowing you to access, transfer, and manage files. Both slots can be used simultaneously.

4.5 Power Delivery (PD) Charging

Connect your original USB-C power adapter to the hub's PD port. The hub will pass power through to your host device, allowing it to charge while you use the hub's other functions. This port is for power input only, not data transfer.
