This manual provides instructions for setting up and using your Avantree Audikast 3 Bluetooth 5.3 Transmitter and Avantree TWS116 Open-Ear Wireless Headphones. Please read carefully before use.
1.1 Avantree Audikast 3 Bluetooth Transmitter
The Audikast 3 is a Bluetooth 5.3 audio transmitter designed to send audio wirelessly from your TV or other audio sources to Bluetooth headphones or speakers. It features optical and AUX audio input ports, and supports dual link for connecting two pairs of headphones simultaneously.

2. Setup - Audikast 3 Transmitter
2.1 Connecting to Power Source
Connect the Audikast 3 to a power source using the provided USB-C cable. It is recommended to use a TV's USB port so the transmitter powers on/off with your TV.

2.2 Connecting to Your TV
The Audikast 3 supports Optical and AUX connections. Choose the option available on your TV.

Option 1: Optical Audio Output
- Connect one end of the optical audio cable to your TV's "Optical Out" port.
- Connect the other end to the "Optical In" port on the Audikast 3.
- Ensure the input switch on the Audikast 3 is set to "OPT".
Option 2: AUX Audio Output
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX audio cable to your TV's "AUX Out" or headphone jack.
- Connect the other end to the "AUX In" port on the Audikast 3.
- Ensure the input switch on the Audikast 3 is set to "AUX".
TV Audio Settings: After connecting, access your TV's sound settings menu. Ensure the audio output is set to the corresponding port (Optical or AUX) and the audio format is set to "PCM" if using optical.
2.3 Pairing with Headphones (Audikast 3 & TWS116)
To pair your TWS116 headphones with the Audikast 3 transmitter:
- Put your TWS116 headphones into pairing mode (refer to the headphone manual for specific instructions).
- On the Audikast 3, press the "Search for Devices" button once.
- Use the arrow buttons to select "Avantree TWS116" from the list on the transmitter's screen.
- Press the "Connect" button. The connection status will show "Connected" on the screen.

Dual Link: To connect a second pair of headphones, put the second pair into pairing mode and repeat steps 2-4. The Audikast 3 can transmit to two Bluetooth headphones simultaneously.
2.4 Using with a Soundbar (Bypass Function)
The Audikast 3 supports a bypass function, allowing you to listen through both your soundbar/external speaker and your headphones simultaneously. Ensure your soundbar is connected to the Audikast 3's output port using the same connection type (Optical or AUX) as the input from your TV.

2.5 Using as a Wireless Audio Receiver (RX Mode)
The Audikast 3 can also function as a Bluetooth receiver, allowing you to stream audio from your phone/tablet to a wired speaker or stereo system.
- Flip the mode switch on the Audikast 3 to "RX".
- Connect your wired speaker/stereo system to the Audikast 3's output port (Optical or AUX).
- On your phone/tablet, go to Bluetooth settings and search for "Avantree Audikast 3" to pair.

3. Operating - TWS116 Headphones
3.1 Reconnecting Headphones
Once successfully paired, your TWS116 headphones should automatically reconnect to the Audikast 3 when both devices are turned on. If not, simply press the "Connect" button on the Audikast 3 once to initiate reconnection.
3.2 Headphone Controls

The TWS116 headphones feature intuitive touch controls:
- Play/Pause: Single tap on either earbud.
- Volume Up/Down: Tap and hold on the right/left earbud respectively.
- Next/Previous Track: Double tap on the right/left earbud respectively.
- Answer/End Call: Single tap on either earbud.
- Activate Voice Assistant: Triple tap on either earbud.
4. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Avantree devices:
- Keep devices clean and dry. Avoid exposure to liquids.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the devices yourself.
- Use only the provided charging cables and adapters.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, try the following common solutions:
- No Sound:
- Ensure both the Audikast 3 and headphones are powered on and paired.
- Verify TV audio output settings (PCM for optical, correct port for AUX).
- Check all cable connections.
- Low Volume:
- Adjust volume on both the headphones and the Audikast 3.
- If using optical, ensure the Audikast 3's volume boost feature is active.
- Lip-Sync Delay:
- Ensure both the Audikast 3 and your headphones support aptX-Adaptive or Low Latency codecs.
- Interference/Poor Connection:
- Keep devices within range and away from other wireless devices.
- Ensure there are no physical obstructions between the transmitter and headphones.
