1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Flash Unit

Before first use, fully charge the flash unit using the provided USB cable. Connect the USB cable to the flash unit's charging port and a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The indicator light will show charging status and turn off when fully charged.

4.2 Attaching to Camera

The FOMITO F12 is designed with a universal hot shoe mount for broad compatibility. Ensure your camera has a standard hot shoe. Gently slide the flash unit onto your camera's hot shoe until it clicks into place. To remove, press the release button (if present on your camera's hot shoe) and slide the flash off.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

To power on the flash unit, press and hold the power button (typically the right-hand clear button on the back) for a few seconds until the display illuminates. To power off, press and hold the same button until the display turns off.

5.2 Adjusting Brightness Levels

The flash unit features adjustable brightness levels. Use the control buttons (refer to the unit's display for specific indicators) to cycle through different power output settings (e.g., 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128). Select the appropriate power level based on your lighting needs and desired effect.

5.3 Using Diffusers and Colored Filters

The F12 Mini Flash comes with a white diffuser and a set of colored filters. These can be attached to the front of the flash to soften the light or add creative color effects to your photos. Simply snap the desired diffuser or filter onto the flash head.

Experiment with different colors to achieve unique moods and tones in your images. The white diffuser helps to spread the light more evenly, reducing harsh shadows and creating a softer illumination.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the flash unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the flash unit in its provided storage case to protect it from dust and physical damage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the unit frequently. Charge the unit periodically if it will not be used for an extended period.
