4. Setup
4.1 Required Items (Not Included)
To operate your VORTEKS 223S BLX, you will need an IC5 compatible battery and a suitable charger. The battery tray can accommodate batteries with maximum dimensions of 165mm x 51mm x 48mm (6.5" x 2.01" x 1.89" inches). The vehicle is compatible with both 2S 7.4V LiPo and 3S 11.1V LiPo batteries.
4.2 Battery Installation
- Ensure the vehicle is powered off.
- Locate the battery compartment on the chassis.
- Securely place your charged LiPo battery into the battery tray.
- Connect the battery to the ESC using the IC5 connector.
- Secure the battery using the provided straps or clips.
4.3 Transmitter Setup
The Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz Transmitter requires 4 AA batteries (included). Install these batteries into the transmitter's battery compartment, observing correct polarity. Familiarize yourself with the transmitter's controls, including steering wheel, throttle trigger, and trim adjustments.

Use the steering wheel on the transmitter to control the direction of the truck. The throttle trigger controls forward and reverse movement, as well as braking. Gently apply throttle to accelerate and release to coast. Push the trigger forward for braking and reverse.
