1. Introduction

4. Assembly Instructions

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Controls and Functions

• Power Switch: Turns the detector ON/OFF.
• Sensitivity (SENS): Adjusts the detector's sensitivity to metal objects. Higher sensitivity allows detection of smaller or deeper objects but may increase false signals.
• Volume (VOL): Controls the loudness of the audio alert.

• Detection Indication: The detector uses both a mechanical pointer (V.U. meter) and an audio tone to indicate the presence of metal. The pointer deflects and the tone changes when metal is detected.

5.3 Basic Operation

2. Ground Balance: Before starting, perform a quick ground balance by holding the search coil parallel to the ground and slowly sweeping it back and forth. Adjust sensitivity until the detector is stable and not giving false signals.
3. Select Mode: Choose between "All Metal" or "Discrimination" mode based on your search objectives.
4. Sweep the Coil: Hold the detector with the search coil about 1-2 inches above the ground. Sweep the coil slowly from side to side in overlapping arcs.
5. Identify Targets: When a metal object is detected, the mechanical pointer will deflect, and an audio tone will sound. The strength of the signal indicates the size and proximity of the object.
6. Pinpointing: Once a target is detected, narrow down its location by sweeping the coil in a smaller "X" pattern over the area.
