  • MIDI Output: When your computer software sends MIDI data through the AMC-10 to your MIDI device, the 'OUT' indicator light will flash.

6.2 Audio Operation

The AMC-10 functions as an external sound card. You can select it as your audio input/output device in your computer's sound settings or within your audio software.

  • Audio Recording: Connect your microphone or line-level source to the AMC-10. Select the AMC-10 as your input device in your recording software. Monitor the SIG and CLIP lights to prevent clipping.
  • Audio Monitoring: Connect headphones to the AMC-10's headphone output. Select the AMC-10 as your output device in your software to monitor audio directly through the unit.
  • Built-in Effects: The AMC-10 includes effects like reverb, chorus, and 3D audio. These effects can be applied to the audio input. Refer to the AMC-10's accompanying software (if applicable) for detailed control over these effects and the 10-band EQ parameters.
  • MIDI Control of Effects: The AMC-10 supports controlling its audio effect parameters via MIDI messages. Consult your software's MIDI mapping capabilities and the AMC-10's specific MIDI implementation chart (if available) for details.

6.3 MODE Button

The MODE button on the AMC-10 allows for switching between different operational modes or accessing specific functions. Please refer to the latest software documentation or DOREMiDi's official website for detailed information on the MODE button's functionality and available modes, as these may be updated.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your DOREMiDi AMC-10:

  • Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity.
  • Avoid bending or kinking the cables excessively, as this can damage the internal wiring.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Refer to qualified service personnel if issues arise.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DOREMiDi AMC-10, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Device Not Recognized by Computer:
    • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the AMC-10 and your computer.
    • Try connecting the AMC-10 to a different USB port on your computer.
    • Restart your computer.
    • Check your computer's Device Manager (Windows) or System Information (macOS) to see if the device is listed. You may need to manually update or install drivers. Visit the DOREMiDi official website for the latest drivers and software.
    • If using a USB hub, try connecting directly to the computer's USB port.
  • No MIDI Signal:
    • Verify that the MIDI IN/OUT cables are connected correctly (AMC-10 IN to MIDI device OUT, AMC-10 OUT to MIDI device IN).
    • Ensure your MIDI device is powered on and sending/receiving MIDI data.
    • Check your software's MIDI settings to ensure the AMC-10 is selected as the input/output device and that MIDI channels are correctly configured.
    • Observe the 'IN' and 'OUT' indicator lights on the AMC-10; they should flash when MIDI data is active.
  • No Audio Input/Output:
    • Ensure headphones/speakers are connected to the correct output jack and their volume is turned up.
    • Check your computer's sound settings and your audio software to ensure the AMC-10 is selected as the primary audio input/output device.
    • Verify that your microphone or line-level source is properly connected to the AMC-10's input jacks.
    • Adjust the LINE IN volume knob and observe the 'SIG' and 'CLIP' indicator lights. If 'CLIP' lights up, reduce the input volume to prevent distortion.
  • AMC Tool / Companion Software Not Opening:
    • Ensure the AMC-10 is connected and recognized by your computer before attempting to launch any companion software.
    • Download the latest version of the AMC Tool or any required software from the official DOREMiDi website.
    • Check your operating system's compatibility requirements for the software.
    • Run the software as an administrator (Windows) or grant necessary permissions (macOS).
    • Temporarily disable antivirus or firewall software to see if it's interfering with the application launch.
