Thank you for purchasing the alpina Wall-Mounted Electric Fan Heater. This manual provides important information for the safe and efficient use of your appliance. Please read it thoroughly before installation and operation, and keep it for future reference.

Important Safety Instructions:

  • Always ensure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Do not cover the heater. Overheating may occur if the heater is covered.
  • Do not use this heater in the immediate vicinity of a bath, shower, or swimming pool.
  • Keep flammable materials such as furniture, curtains, and other combustibles at least 1 meter (3 feet) from the front and sides of the heater.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • The heater must be installed so that the switches and other controls cannot be touched by a person in a bath or shower.

3. Installation

Mounting Instructions:

  1. Choose a suitable wall location, ensuring it is away from flammable materials and out of reach of children and pets. Maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter (3 feet) from any objects.
  2. Mark the positions for drilling holes on the wall using the heater's mounting points as a template.
  3. Drill the holes and insert appropriate wall plugs (not included, choose based on wall material).
  4. Secure the mounting bracket (if separate) or the heater itself to the wall using screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
  5. The heater dimensions are approximately 41.8 cm (length) x 12 cm (width) x 17.5 cm (height).

Electrical Connection:

4. Operation

Power On/Off:

Open Window Detection:

  • This feature automatically detects a sudden drop in room temperature, indicating an open window or door.
  • If an open window is detected, the heater will automatically switch off to conserve energy.
  • To resume heating, close the window/door and manually restart the heater.

Warm and Cold Air Function:

The heater can circulate both warm and cool air. The cool air function operates as a fan, providing air circulation without heating. Note: This product is not an air conditioner and does not actively cool the air below ambient temperature.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning:

  • Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure no water enters the interior of the heater.
  • Periodically clean the air inlet and outlet grilles with a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush to remove dust and debris.

Storage:

If the heater is not in use for an extended period, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

6. Troubleshooting
