Note: A USB-C charging cable is not included to minimize e-waste. Any standard USB-C cable can be used for charging.
Setup
Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge your JBL Flip 7. Connect a standard USB-C charging cable (not included) to the USB-C port located at the back of the speaker. The LED indicator will show charging status.
Bluetooth Pairing
- Power on the JBL Flip 7 by pressing the power button.
- The Bluetooth indicator light will start blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "JBL Flip 7" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light will remain solid.

Operating
Basic Controls
- Power Button: Press to turn the speaker on/off.
- Volume Buttons (+/-): Press to adjust volume up or down.
- Play/Pause Button: Press to play or pause audio.
AI Sound Boost
The JBL Flip 7 features AI Sound Boost technology that analyzes your music in real-time to deliver maximum acoustic performance with less distortion. This enhances bass clarity and crispness of higher frequencies.

Auracast™ Multi-Speaker Connection
Effortlessly connect with other Auracast™-enabled JBL speakers to create a wider sound stage or cover more area with the same playlist. This feature allows for stereo pairing of two Flip 7 speakers or connecting multiple compatible speakers.

Playtime Boost
Extend your listening experience up to 16 hours. The speaker provides 14 hours of playtime on a single charge, with an additional 2 hours available through the Playtime Boost feature.

Maintenance
Waterproof, Dustproof, and Drop-Proof
The JBL Flip 7 is IP68 rated, making it waterproof and dustproof. It can withstand submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. It is also designed to be drop-proof from 1 meter onto concrete surfaces. After exposure to water, ensure the USB-C port is completely dry before charging.
Cleaning
To clean the speaker, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals.
Troubleshooting
No Sound/Low Volume
- Ensure the speaker is powered on and fully charged.
- Check the volume levels on both the speaker and your connected device.
- Verify that the speaker is properly paired via Bluetooth.
Charging Issues
- Ensure you are using a functional USB-C cable and power adapter.
- Check that the USB-C port on the speaker is clean and dry.
Bluetooth Connectivity Problems
- Move the speaker closer to your device to ensure it's within range.
- Disconnect the speaker from any other devices it might be paired with.
- Restart both the speaker and your device.
