5. Setup and Installation
The Metalux HBLAO fixture is designed for easy installation. Follow these steps:
- Power Disconnection: Before any installation, ensure the main power supply to the installation area is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Mounting:
- Attach the provided V-hooks to the fixture.
- Use the chain set to suspend the fixture from a suitable ceiling structure. The fixture is suitable for mounting heights between 20 and 35 feet.
- Wiring: This fixture requires hardwiring. Connect the fixture's wiring to the building's electrical supply in accordance with local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding.
- Adjustable Optics: After mounting, the light engines can be tilted up to 135° without tools to direct light as needed.
- Optional Accessories: If installing a plug-and-play motion sensor or 0-10V dimmer, follow their respective installation instructions.
- Power Connection: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions
The Metalux HBLAO fixture features built-in switches for adjusting light output and color temperature:
- Lumen Selection: Locate the "POWER" switch on the fixture (refer to Figure 5.1). Select between "LOW" (10,000 lumens), "MED" (12,000 lumens), or "HIGH" (16,000 lumens) to set the desired brightness.
- Color Temperature (CCT) Selection: Locate the "CCT" switch on the fixture (refer to Figure 5.1). Select between "3500K", "4000K", or "5000K" to choose the desired light color.
- Dimming: If a 0-10V commercial dimmer is installed, use the dimmer control to adjust light intensity from 10% to 100%.
- Motion Sensing: If an optional motion sensor is installed, the light will operate according to the sensor's settings.
7. Maintenance
The Metalux HBLAO LED fixture requires minimal maintenance:
- Cleaning: Ensure power is disconnected before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
