This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your Mehrpow 48V 105Ah Lithium Golf Cart Battery. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your battery.

The Mehrpow 48V 105Ah Lithium Golf Cart Battery is designed with EVE A+ cells and a smart 200A BMS, offering high power output and extended cycle life for various golf cart models including Clubcar, EZGO, YAMAHA, ICON, and Marshell.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the battery and property.

• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and insulated gloves during installation and maintenance.
• Ensure the golf cart's power is completely off before connecting or disconnecting the battery.
• Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Do not disassemble, puncture, or modify the battery.
• Keep the battery away from heat sources, open flames, and flammable materials.
• Use only the specified 58.4V 22A Li-FePO4 charger provided with the battery.
• Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• In case of fire, use a Class D fire extinguisher. Water can exacerbate lithium battery fires.

4. Setup and Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure you have all components: the 48V-105Ah EVE LiFePO4 battery, charger, LCD monitor, screen connection cable, and screw set. It is recommended to have the battery fully charged before initial installation.

4.1 Preparing for Installation:

1. Turn off the golf cart's main power switch and disconnect the existing battery system.
2. Remove the old batteries. Note their configuration and wiring for reference, if applicable.
3. Clean the battery compartment to ensure it is free of debris and corrosion.

4.2 Battery Placement:

The Mehrpow battery is designed to be a direct replacement for many lead-acid battery setups. Its dimensions are approximately 13.14"D x 20.03"W x 9.25"H. Ensure the battery fits securely in the compartment.

4.3 Wiring Connections:

1. Connect the main positive (+) and negative (-) cables from the golf cart to the corresponding terminals on the Mehrpow battery. Ensure connections are tight and secure using the provided M8 terminals and screws.
2. Connect the display screen cable from the battery to the LCD touch display.
3. If applicable, connect the charger plug to the designated charging port on the battery.

Note: No series connection is required for this battery, simplifying installation compared to traditional lead-acid setups.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Power-Up:

After installation, turn on the golf cart's main power. The LCD touch display should illuminate, showing real-time battery information.

5.2 Using the LCD Touch Display:

The 2.8-inch LCD display provides critical battery data. Tap the screen to navigate through different pages displaying battery voltage, current, temperature, and cell voltages.

5.3 Mobile APP Monitoring:

Download the Mehrpow mobile application (refer to the QR code or link provided in the packaging for download). Connect your smartphone to the battery via Bluetooth to monitor battery data (State of Charge - SOC) and control the charge/discharge switch remotely.

5.4 Charging the Battery:

Use the provided 58.4V 22A Li-FePO4 charger. Connect the charger to the battery's charging port and then plug the charger into a standard AC outlet. The battery can be fully charged from 0% to 100% in approximately 4.7 hours.

5.5 Driving Range:

A single full charge can provide up to 50 miles of continuous golfing, depending on terrain, golf cart model, and driving habits.

6. Maintenance

The Mehrpow Lithium Golf Cart Battery is designed to be maintenance-free, eliminating the need for daily checks or watering common with lead-acid batteries. However, following these guidelines will help ensure its longevity:

• Regular Cleaning: Keep the battery casing and terminals clean and free of dust or debris. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
• Terminal Inspection: Periodically check that all terminal connections are secure and free from corrosion.
• Storage: If storing the battery for an extended period, ensure it is charged to approximately 50-70% State of Charge (SOC) and stored in a cool, dry environment. Avoid extreme temperatures.
• Software Updates: Check the Mehrpow APP periodically for any available firmware updates for the battery's BMS.

7. Troubleshooting

Note: The BMS provides multiple protections. If the battery suddenly stops, it might be due to over-current, over-discharge, or temperature protection. Over-current protection will auto-release in approximately 32 seconds.
