Setup
1. Charging the Unit
Before first use, fully charge the robotic pool cleaner. The charging time is approximately 5-6 hours for a full charge, providing up to 75 minutes of cleaning time.
- Ensure the cleaner is dry before connecting the charger.
- Locate the charging port on the cleaner.
- Connect the charger to the unit and then plug it into a power outlet.
- The power indicator lights will show red during charging and turn green when fully charged.

2. Adjusting Cleaning Paths
The XTROJET 420 features an adjustable 3-way path selection switch to optimize cleaning for various pool sizes and shapes. Adjust the pin placement on the front swivel wheel according to your pool dimensions.

Operating Instructions
1. Placing the Cleaner in the Pool
- Ensure the cleaner is fully charged.
- Turn on the cleaner by flipping the switch on the top. The indicator light will turn blue.
- Gently lower the cleaner into the pool. It will slowly fill with water and sink to the bottom.
- The motor will automatically activate once the unit is fully submerged and detects water.
2. Cleaning Cycle
The XTROJET 420 will navigate across the pool bottom, collecting debris. It operates for approximately 75 minutes per charge.
- The cleaner is equipped with a 15.9 GPM suction system and three rollers to enhance cleaning efficiency.
- It effectively captures soft leaves (up to 6 inches), small twigs, dead bugs, sand, and coarse gravel.
- Note: This cleaner is not designed for algae or very fine silt. For these types of debris, additional pool maintenance methods may be required.

3. Auto-Parking and Retrieval
When the battery is low or the cleaning cycle is complete, the cleaner will automatically park itself near the pool side for easy retrieval.
- Use the included retrieval hook to gently lift the cleaner from the pool.
- Allow excess water to drain from the unit before removing it completely from the pool.
- Turn off the cleaner using the switch on top.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Debris Compartment and Filter
Regular cleaning of the debris compartment and filter is crucial for optimal performance.
- After each use, unlatch the four clips on the cleaner to open the top cover.
- Remove the filter basket.
- Empty collected debris from the compartment and rinse both the compartment and the stainless steel filter thoroughly with a garden hose.
- Ensure all debris is removed from the 250µ stainless steel filter.
- Reassemble the filter and close the top cover, ensuring all clips are securely latched.

2. General Pool Maintenance
For a healthy and clean pool, consider these additional steps:
- Skim off leaves and debris from the surface.
- Brush sediment from pool walls to prevent algae.
- Keep your filtration pump running effectively.
- Check and backwash your filter regularly.
