4. Initial Setup and Assembly
Before using your Ninja Foodi FD302 for the first time, follow these steps to ensure proper setup and cleanliness.
4.1 Unpacking and Cleaning
- Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the unit.
- Wash the cooking pot, Cook & Crisp Plate, and Nesting Broil Rack in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Note: The main unit is not dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the interior and exterior of the main unit with a clean, damp cloth.
- Inspect the pressure lid and crisping lid for any damage or obstructions. Ensure the silicone gasket on the pressure lid is properly seated.
4.2 Assembly
- Place the main unit on a clean, dry, level surface.
- Insert the 6.5-quart nonstick cooking pot into the main unit. Ensure it is seated correctly and does not wobble.
- Depending on your cooking method, either place the pressure lid or close the crisping lid.
- For Pressure Cooking/Steaming/Slow Cooking: Align the arrow on the pressure lid with the arrow on the main unit handle, then turn clockwise until it locks into place.
- For Air Frying/Baking/Broiling/Dehydrating: Simply lower the crisping lid until it rests securely on the main unit.
- Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The unit will beep, and the display will illuminate.

6.1 Cleaning

- Cooking Pot, Cook & Crisp Plate, Nesting Broil Rack: These components are not dishwasher safe. Wash them with warm, soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Pressure Lid: Wash with warm, soapy water. Remove the silicone gasket and anti-clog cap for thorough cleaning. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling.
- Crisping Lid: Wipe the interior and exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
- Main Unit: Wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Food Residue: For stubborn food residue, soak the cooking pot in warm, soapy water before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaning pads or steel wool.
6.2 Storage
