1. Introduction

This portable vacuum sealer is designed to help you preserve food freshness up to five times longer than traditional methods, prevent freezer burn, and maintain flavors. Its cordless design offers convenience and flexibility for use anywhere in your home. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device to ensure safe and efficient use.

2. Safety Information

• Always keep the device away from water or other liquids. Do not immerse the unit.
• Do not operate the device with a damaged power cord or plug.
• Keep hands clear of the sealing area during operation to prevent burns.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Use only PowerXL approved vacuum sealer bags and accessories.

4. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the PowerXL Cordless DuoSealer from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Charge Battery: Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided charging cable. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.
3. Prepare Bags: Ensure you have appropriate vacuum sealer bags. The DuoSealer is compatible with bags up to 28 cm wide. If using a roll, use the integrated bag cutter to create a custom-sized bag.

4. Initial Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Sealing Dry Foods

1. Place the food item into a vacuum sealer bag, leaving at least 7-10 cm of space from the top edge.
2. Ensure the open end of the bag is clean and dry.
3. Open the lid of the DuoSealer and place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber, ensuring it lies flat over the sealing strip.
4. Close the lid firmly until it clicks into place.
5. Press the 'Vacuum & Seal' button. The device will automatically remove air and then seal the bag.

6. Once the process is complete, the indicator light will turn off. Open the lid and remove the sealed bag.

5.2 Sealing Moist Foods or Liquids

When sealing moist foods or liquids, it is recommended to pre-freeze the item or use the 'Seal Only' function to prevent liquids from being drawn into the vacuum chamber.

1. For liquids, place them in a bag and freeze them partially or completely before vacuum sealing.
2. For moist foods, place them in the bag and position the open end over the sealing strip.
3. Close the lid firmly.
4. Press the 'Seal Only' button to create a seal without vacuuming. This is useful for delicate items or items with high liquid content.

5.3 Sealing Non-Food Items

The DuoSealer can also protect non-food items from moisture, dust, and oxidation.

• Follow the same steps as sealing dry foods.
• Ideal for documents, small electronics, jewelry, or medical supplies.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Unit

• Always unplug the unit (if charging) and allow it to cool before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• Clean the vacuum chamber and sealing strip with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure no food particles are left behind.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
• Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or next use.

6.2 Storage

• Store the DuoSealer in a cool, dry place.
• For optimal battery life, charge the unit periodically if stored for extended periods.
