1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before operating your Aeitto Nugget Ice Maker. Retain this manual for future reference.

  • Ensure the ice maker is placed on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Supervise children when the appliance is in use.
  • Unplug the ice maker before cleaning or when not in use for extended periods.
  • Use only potable water in the water reservoir.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

2. Product Overview

The Aeitto Nugget Ice Maker is designed to produce soft, chewable ice quickly and efficiently for various uses, from beverages to food preservation.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the ice maker and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
  3. Remove all packing materials, tapes, and labels from the unit.

3.2 Placement

  • Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface.
  • Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit (at least 5 inches of space on all sides).
  • Avoid placing the unit near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

3.3 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the interior of the ice maker. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section for detailed cleaning instructions, specifically the 'Automatic Self-Cleaning' function.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Making Ice

  1. Open the lid and remove the ice basket.
  2. Fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
  3. Place the ice basket back into the unit and close the lid.
  4. Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Press the ICE button on the control panel to start the ice making cycle.

The ice maker will begin producing nugget ice. The first batch of ice can be ready in as little as 5 minutes. The unit can produce up to 40 lbs of ice per day.

4.2 Ice Full Reminder

The ice maker is equipped with a sensor that detects when the ice basket is full. When the ice reaches the alert level, the unit will automatically stop ice production to prevent overflow and save energy. Once ice is removed, the unit will resume operation.

4.3 Benefits of Nugget Ice

Nugget ice, also known as chewable ice, is soft and porous, making it ideal for various applications:

5. Maintenance

5.1 Automatic Self-Cleaning Function

The ice maker features an automatic self-cleaning function to maintain hygiene and ensure fresh ice production.

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with clean water.
  2. Press the CLEAN button on the control panel.
  3. The unit will perform a cleaning cycle, typically lasting about 15 minutes.
  4. After the cleaning cycle, drain the water from the unit as described in section 5.2.

5.2 Draining Water

To drain water from the unit, locate the drainpipe at the back of the ice maker. Remove the stopper and allow the water to flow out into a sink or container. Ensure all water is drained before moving or storing the unit.

5.3 Descaling

Depending on your water hardness, descaling may be necessary to prevent mineral buildup and maintain performance. It is recommended to descale once a month in moderately hard water areas, and every two or three weeks in hard to very hard water areas. Use a descaling solution suitable for ice makers, following the product's instructions.

5.4 General Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the ice maker with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Clean the ice basket and ice scoop with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly.
  • Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling or storing.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ice maker, please refer to the common problems and solutions below. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
