3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your GMKtec G2 Plus Mini PC:
3.1 Unboxing and Contents:
Carefully unpack all items from the box. Verify that you have received the following components:
- GMKtec G2 Plus Mini PC
- Power Adapter & Cable
- HDMI Cable
- VESA Mount with Screws
- User Manual (this document)

3.2 Connecting Peripherals:
- Connect Display: Use the provided HDMI cable to connect your Mini PC to a monitor or TV. You can use up to three displays simultaneously via the two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4.
- Connect Keyboard and Mouse: Plug your USB keyboard and mouse into the available USB 3.2 ports.
- Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the Mini PC's power input and then plug it into a power outlet.
- Optional Connections: Connect any other peripherals such as external hard drives, speakers, or network cables (RJ45) as needed.
3.3 Initial Power On:
Press the power button located on the front of the Mini PC. The device will boot up, and you will see the Windows 11 Pro operating system loading. Follow the on-screen instructions for initial Windows setup if it's your first time using the device.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Operation:
Your GMKtec G2 Plus Mini PC runs on Windows 11 Pro, providing a familiar and intuitive user interface. Use your connected keyboard and mouse to navigate the operating system, launch applications, and manage files.
4.2 Multi-Display Setup:
The Mini PC supports connecting up to three 4K displays simultaneously. This is ideal for multitasking, professional work, or an immersive home theater experience.
- Connect your monitors to the available HDMI 2.0 ports and the DisplayPort 1.4.
- Once connected, Windows will automatically detect the displays. You can configure display settings (e.g., extend, duplicate, resolution) via the Display Settings in Windows.

4.3 Network Connectivity:
The Mini PC offers versatile network options:
- Wi-Fi 6: Connect to wireless networks for high-speed internet access. Go to Windows Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi to connect to your preferred network.
- Ethernet: For a stable and fast wired connection, plug an Ethernet cable into one of the two Gigabit RJ45 ports.
- Bluetooth 5.2: Pair Bluetooth-enabled devices like headphones, speakers, or game controllers. Access Bluetooth settings via Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Mini PC.
5.1 Storage Expansion:
The GMKtec G2 Plus Mini PC features an expandable storage design. You can upgrade the M.2 2242 SATA SSD up to 2TB.
- Ensure the device is powered off and unplugged from the power source.
- Carefully remove the lid of the Mini PC.
- Locate the M.2 SSD slot and replace or install your new M.2 2242 SATA SSD.
- Secure the lid back in place.

5.2 Cleaning:
- Regularly clean the exterior of the Mini PC with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
- Use compressed air to gently clear dust from the ventilation openings to ensure proper airflow and cooling.
- Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols directly on the device.
5.3 Software Updates:
Keep your Windows operating system and drivers updated to ensure security, stability, and optimal performance. Windows Update can be accessed via Settings > Windows Update.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your GMKtec G2 Plus Mini PC, try the following basic troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the Mini PC and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet.
- No Display: Check that the HDMI/DP cables are firmly connected to both the Mini PC and the monitor. Ensure the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source.
- No Internet Connection: For Wi-Fi, check your router and ensure the Wi-Fi adapter is enabled in Windows settings. For Ethernet, ensure the cable is properly connected and your network is active.
- Peripheral Not Working: Try plugging the peripheral into a different USB port. Ensure drivers are installed if required.
- System Slowdown: Close unnecessary applications. Check for background processes in Task Manager. Ensure sufficient free storage space.
