2. Setup Guide
2.1. Download the Application
Download the official TOPDON CarPal application from the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices). Search for 'TOPDON CarPal' to locate the correct app.
2.2. Connect to Vehicle OBD-II Port

Once connected, select the 'Full Vehicle Health Check' option in the app. The CarPal will automatically scan all crucial vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, ABS, airbags, and more. For American cars from 2006 onwards, AutoVIN will automatically recognize your vehicle's information. For older models, manual VIN input may be required.
3.2. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
- Read DTCs: After a scan, the app will display any detected fault codes. Each code comes with a description, severity indicator (severe or minor), possible symptoms, possible causes, and tailored repair instructions.
