2. Setup and Height Adjustment

The ispuoocti Wooden Walking Cane comes at a standard length of 37.4 inches (net length 36.6 inches) and can be customized to your specific height for optimal comfort and support. It weighs approximately 0.99 lbs.

Determining Correct Cane Height:

  1. Remove the non-slip foot pad from the bottom of the cane.
  2. Stand upright with your arms hanging naturally at your sides.
  3. Position the cane upright on a flat surface next to you.
  4. The top of the cane handle should align with the crease of your wrist.

Adjusting Cane Length:

  • Once the correct height is determined, mark the shaft of the cane at the wrist crease level.
  • Carefully saw off the excess portion of the cane shaft using a suitable saw. Important: When cutting, it is recommended to reserve 1-3 inches of length before the final cut to avoid cutting too short. The minimum recommended length is 27.56 inches.
  • After cutting, firmly re-install the non-slip foot pad onto the bottom of the cane. Tap the cane firmly on the ground until the foot pad is fully seated.

3. Operating Instructions

The ispuoocti Wooden Walking Cane is designed for comfortable and stable support during walking. Its ergonomic handle, shaped like a bird's back, fits the palm's curve to reduce hand fatigue.

Proper Usage:

  • Hold the cane in the hand opposite to your weaker leg.
  • Move the cane forward simultaneously with your weaker leg.
  • Ensure the cane's tip is firmly on the ground before applying weight.
  • Maintain an upright posture, using the cane for balance and support, not to lean heavily.

Safety Considerations:

  • The cane is designed to support up to 500 lbs. Do not exceed this weight limit.
  • Before each use, check that the handle is securely connected to the shaft. The connection uses 3.15-inch internal and external thread self-tapping screw nuts.
  • Ensure the non-slip foot pad is intact and free from wear or damage. Replace worn tips immediately.
  • Exercise caution on uneven, wet, or slippery surfaces.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your ispuoocti Wooden Walking Cane.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the cane regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the wood or finish.
  • Wood Protection: The cane is coated with wood wax oil, which protects the ash wood and enhances its natural texture. To maintain its appearance and durability, periodically reapply a suitable wood wax or polish designed for natural wood products.
  • Tip Replacement: Inspect the rubber foot pad regularly for wear and tear. A worn tip can compromise stability and safety. Replace it promptly with a new, compatible non-slip tip. The product includes two extra cane tips.
  • Storage: Store the cane in a dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight to prevent wood warping or cracking.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your ispuoocti Wooden Walking Cane, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Loose Handle: If the handle feels loose, gently twist it clockwise to ensure the internal screw nuts are fully tightened. Do not overtighten.
  • Cane Feels Unstable:
    • Check if the non-slip foot pad is securely attached and not worn out. Replace if necessary.
    • Verify that the cane length is appropriate for your height. An incorrectly sized cane can affect stability.
  • Squeaking Noise: A squeaking noise might indicate a slightly loose connection. Check the handle and ensure it is tightened.

If problems persist after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
