Setup

Follow these steps to set up your SONICAKE Matribox:

  1. Power Connection: Connect the included 9V DC 1A power supply adapter to the DC 9V 500mA input port on the rear of the Matribox. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Guitar Connection: Connect your guitar to the INPUT jack on the rear of the Matribox using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  3. Output Connection: Connect the OUTPUT/HEADPHONE jack to your amplifier's input or directly to headphones for silent practice. Use a standard 1/4-inch cable for amplifier connection.
  4. Auxiliary Input (Optional): To play along with backing tracks, connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the AUX IN jack using a 3.5mm stereo cable.
  5. USB Connection (Optional): For firmware updates, tone editing, or using the Matribox as a USB audio interface, connect the USB-C port to your computer or mobile device using a compatible USB-C cable.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (usually one of the footswitches or a dedicated button) to turn the unit on or off. The LCD screen will illuminate upon power-up.

Navigating Presets

Use the designated footswitches (e.g., UP/DOWN or A/B) to cycle through the available presets. The LCD screen will display the current preset number and name.

Editing Effects

Tuner Function

To activate the tuner, typically press and hold a specific footswitch (e.g., 'TUNER' or a combination of footswitches). The display will show the note being played and indicate if it's sharp, flat, or in tune.

Looper and Drum Machine

The Matribox includes a looper and drum machine for practice. Dedicated buttons or footswitches are usually available to access and control these functions. The looper allows for recording and overdubbing guitar phrases, while the drum machine provides various rhythm patterns with adjustable tempo.
