4. Setup and Installation
Professional installation is recommended. If you are performing the installation yourself, ensure you have the necessary tools and follow all local plumbing codes. Turn off the main water supply before beginning.
Required Tools (Not Included):
- Adjustable Wrench
- Plumber's Putty or Silicone Sealant
- Drill (with appropriate bit for countertop material)
- Measuring Tape and Marker
- Safety Glasses
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Countertop: Determine the desired location for the sink and faucet. Mark the center for the drain hole (typically 1.75 inches to 2 inches in diameter) and the faucet hole (if separate from the sink). Carefully cut the holes using an appropriate drill bit for your countertop material.
- Install the Faucet: Insert the faucet into the designated hole on the countertop. Secure it from underneath with the provided washer and locking nut. Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the faucet's inlets. Ensure connections are hand-tight, then use a wrench for a quarter turn to secure, being careful not to overtighten.
- Install the Pop-up Drain: Apply a bead of plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the underside of the drain flange. Insert the drain into the sink's drain opening. From underneath the sink, place the rubber washer, friction washer, and locking nut onto the drain body. Tighten securely, ensuring the drain is centered and sealed.
- Position the Vessel Sink: Carefully place the vessel sink over the countertop drain hole. Ensure it is centered and stable. Apply a thin bead of silicone sealant around the base of the sink where it meets the countertop to secure it and prevent water seepage. Allow the sealant to cure according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Connect Water Supply Lines: Connect the hot and cold water supply lines from the faucet to the corresponding hot and cold water shut-off valves. Use an adjustable wrench to tighten connections, avoiding overtightening.
- Test for Leaks: Once all connections are secure and sealant has cured, slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for leaks. Run water through the faucet and check the drain for proper function and any leaks.

5. Operating Instructions
The SOLIDEE vessel sink faucet is designed for simple operation.
- Water Flow: Lift the single lever handle to turn on the water flow. The higher the handle is lifted, the greater the water flow.
- Temperature Control: Move the lever handle to the left for hot water and to the right for cold water. Adjust the position to achieve the desired water temperature.
- Pop-up Drain: To close the drain and fill the sink, press down on the top of the pop-up drain stopper. To open the drain, press down again.
6. Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will help preserve the finish and functionality of your SOLIDEE vessel sink and faucet set.
Cleaning the Sink:
- Clean the tempered glass sink regularly with a soft, damp cloth.
- For stubborn spots, use a mild, non-abrasive glass cleaner.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can scratch the glass or damage the finish.
Cleaning the Faucet and Drain:
- Clean the Oil Rubbed Bronze (ORB) finish with a soft, damp cloth.
- Mild soap and water can be used for general cleaning. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, polishes, waxes, or cleaners containing alcohol, ammonia, bleach, or other harsh chemicals, as these can damage the ORB finish.
7. Troubleshooting
Refer to the following table for common issues and their solutions.
