Installation and Setup

Unpacking

Carefully remove the microwave oven from its packaging. Retain the carton and packing materials for future use or proper disposal. Ensure all components, including the turntable, are present and undamaged.

Location Requirements

This appliance is designed for over-the-range installation. Ensure the mounting surface is structurally sound and capable of supporting the unit's weight (approximately 60 pounds). Adequate clearance above the cooking surface and surrounding cabinets is essential for proper ventilation and operation.

Basic Microwave Cooking

  1. Place food in a microwave-safe container on the turntable.
  2. Close the oven door securely.
  3. Enter desired cooking time using the number pad.
  4. Press Power Level and select a power level (1-10). Default is 10 (High).
  5. Press START to begin cooking.

Auto Defrost

The Auto Defrost feature allows for quick and efficient thawing of various foods. Select the Auto Defrost button and follow the prompts to enter the food type and weight.

Sensor Cook Settings

Utilize the sensor cook settings for optimized cooking of popular items like popcorn, vegetables, and snacks. The microwave automatically adjusts cooking time based on humidity levels detected from the food.

Convection + Microwave Radiation Mode

This mode combines microwave speed with convection oven browning and crisping for thorough and even cooking. Refer to the specific recipes and guidelines for optimal use of this feature.

Ventilation System

The microwave includes a multi-level ventilation system to remove smoke and odors. Use the Vent On/Off button to control fan speed as needed during cooking.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning the Interior

Clean the oven cavity regularly with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. For stubborn food splatters, place a bowl of water with lemon slices inside and microwave for a few minutes to loosen residue before wiping.

Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior surfaces, including the stainless steel finish, with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can scratch the surface.

Turntable Care

The glass turntable can be removed for cleaning. Wash it in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher. Ensure it is completely dry before placing it back in the oven.

Filter Maintenance

The grease filters located on the underside of the microwave should be cleaned monthly. Remove them and wash in hot, soapy water or a dishwasher. Replace charcoal filters (if applicable) every 6-12 months depending on usage.
