2. Safety Information

Always prioritize safety when operating power equipment. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.

  • Eye and Ear Protection: Always wear appropriate eye protection (safety glasses or goggles) and ear protection when operating the pressure washer.
  • Footwear: Wear sturdy, non-slip footwear to maintain balance and protect your feet.
  • Ventilation: Operate the pressure washer in a well-ventilated outdoor area. Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, and deadly gas.
  • Fuel Safety: Handle gasoline with extreme care. Store fuel in an approved container, away from ignition sources. Do not refuel a hot engine.
  • Water Connection: Ensure all water connections are secure to prevent leaks. Do not run the pump dry.
  • Nozzle Selection: Choose the correct nozzle for the task to avoid damaging surfaces or causing injury.

4. Setup and Assembly

4.1 Initial Preparation

  • Add Engine Oil: Your pressure washer is shipped without engine oil. Add 10W-30 engine oil to the crankcase. An oil funnel is provided to assist. Do not overfill.
  • Add Fuel: Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline (minimum 87 octane). Do not use E85 or other ethanol blends higher than E10.
  • Connect Water Supply: Connect a garden hose to the water inlet on the pump. Ensure the water supply is clean and free of debris. Turn on the water supply fully before starting the engine.

4.2 Assembly Steps

  • Attach Handle: Secure the handle to the main frame using the provided hardware.
  • Install Wheels: Attach the 12-inch solid tires to the axle.
  • Connect High-Pressure Hose: Connect one end of the 35FT high-pressure hose to the pump's high-pressure outlet and the other end to the swivel spray gun. Ensure connections are tight.
  • Attach Extension Wand: Connect the extension wand to the swivel spray gun.
  • Insert Nozzle: Select the desired nozzle tip and insert it into the quick-connect fitting on the end of the extension wand.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting the Pressure Washer

  • Ensure the water supply is fully open and there are no kinks in the hose.
  • Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the system until a steady stream of water flows.
  • Set the engine switch to 'ON'.
  • Move the choke lever to the 'CHOKE' position (cold engine).
  • Pull the recoil starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
  • Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position.

5.2 Using the Spray Gun and Nozzles

The pressure washer comes with 5 quick-connect nozzle tips, each designed for specific cleaning applications:

  • Red (0° Jet): Concentrated, high-impact stream for toughest stains and pinpoint cleaning. Use with extreme caution.
  • Yellow (15° Blast): Powerful, narrow fan for intense cleaning of hard surfaces like concrete and brick.
  • Green (25° Wash): Medium-fan spray for general cleaning of decks, patios, and driveways.
  • White (40° Rinse): Wide-fan spray for gentle cleaning, rinsing, and delicate surfaces.
  • Black (Soap Nozzle): Low-pressure wide spray for applying detergents.

5.3 Applying Detergent

  • Fill the onboard soap tank with pressure washer safe detergent.
  • Attach the black soap nozzle to the spray gun.
  • The pressure washer will automatically draw detergent when the black nozzle is used.
  • After applying detergent, switch to a high-pressure nozzle (e.g., green or yellow) to rinse the surface thoroughly.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure washer.

  • Check Engine Oil: Check oil level before each use. Change oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 50 hours or annually.
  • Clean Air Filter: Inspect the air filter before each use. Clean or replace if dirty to ensure proper engine performance.
  • Inspect Spark Plug: Check the spark plug annually or every 100 hours. Clean or replace if fouled.
  • Pump Care: Flush the pump with a pump protector/stabilizer before long-term storage to prevent corrosion and freezing.
  • Nozzle Cleaning: Clean clogged nozzles with the included nozzle cleaning tool.
  • Hose and Gun Inspection: Regularly inspect the high-pressure hose and spray gun for damage, leaks, or wear.
