5. Setup
5.1 Power Source Options
Your LEOTEC radio can be powered by two methods:
- AC Power: For indoor use, connect the included AC power cord to the radio's AC input jack and then plug it into a standard 120V wall outlet.
- Battery Power: For portable use, insert 2x D-size batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the back of the radio. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.

5.2 Antenna Setup
For optimal AM/FM reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully. For AM reception, rotating the radio itself may also improve signal strength.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 AM/FM Radio Operation
- Turn On: Rotate the VOLUME knob clockwise until you hear a click and the radio powers on.
- Select Band: Use the BAND switch (usually located on the side or top) to select either AM or FM.
- Tune Station: Rotate the TUNING knob to scan for desired radio stations. The frequency scale will indicate the current tuning position.
- Adjust Volume: Use the VOLUME knob to set the listening level.
- Turn Off: Rotate the VOLUME knob counter-clockwise until it clicks off.
6.2 Bluetooth Operation
To connect your device via Bluetooth:
- Power On: Turn on the radio using the VOLUME knob.
- Select Bluetooth Mode: Switch the BAND selector to the BT (Bluetooth) position. The radio will enter pairing mode, indicated by an audible prompt or flashing indicator light.
- Pair Device: On your smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled device, go to the Bluetooth settings and search for available devices. Select "LEOTEC Radio" (or similar name) from the list to pair.
- Play Audio: Once paired, you can play audio from your device, and it will stream through the radio's speaker.
- Adjust Volume: Control the volume using both your connected device and the radio's VOLUME knob.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the radio's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Care: If the radio will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
- Antenna: Handle the telescopic antenna gently to avoid bending or breaking. Retract it when not in use or during transport.
