1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective installation, operation, and maintenance of the ZTYXUX ZS3-VA Overvoltage and Undervoltage Protection Circuit Breaker. This device is designed to protect electrical equipment from damage caused by abnormal voltage fluctuations and overcurrent conditions in AC 220V systems. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
2. Safety Information
WARNING: Electrical work should only be performed by qualified personnel. Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Always disconnect power to the circuit before installation, wiring, or maintenance.
- Ensure all wiring connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes.
- Do not operate the device if it appears damaged.
- Do not exceed the specified voltage and current ratings of the device.
- Keep the device away from water and excessive moisture.
3. Product Overview
The ZS3-VA is an intelligent protection device featuring a digital display for real-time voltage and current monitoring. It automatically disconnects the circuit when voltage or current exceeds user-defined safe limits and reconnects once conditions return to normal after a set delay. The device includes control buttons for parameter adjustment.

5. Setup and Installation
The ZS3-VA protector is designed for installation on a standard 35mm DIN rail. Ensure the installation location is dry, well-ventilated, and free from corrosive gases.
5.1 Wiring Instructions
- Power Disconnection: Before starting, ensure the main power supply to the circuit is completely disconnected.
- Mounting: Snap the device onto a 35mm DIN rail securely.
- Input Wiring: Connect the incoming live (L) and neutral (N) wires to the 'IN' terminals of the protector. Ensure correct polarity.
- Output Wiring: Connect the outgoing live (L) and neutral (N) wires to the 'OUT' terminals of the protector, which will lead to the load.
- Secure Connections: Tighten all terminal screws firmly to prevent loose connections, which can cause overheating or malfunction.
- Power Restoration: Once all connections are verified, restore power to the circuit.

6. Operating Instructions
Upon power-up, the device will display real-time voltage and current. The red display shows voltage, and the green display shows current.
6.1 Button Functions
- M Button: Enters/exits parameter setting mode, cycles through parameters.
- Up Arrow Button: Increases parameter value.
- Down Arrow Button: Decreases parameter value.
- Power Button (Red): Manually turns the output ON/OFF.
6.2 Parameter Setting
To adjust protection parameters:
- Press and hold the 'M' button for approximately 3 seconds to enter the setting mode. The display will show the first adjustable parameter (e.g., 'P-1' for overvoltage threshold).
- Use the 'Up' and 'Down' arrow buttons to adjust the value of the displayed parameter.
- Press the 'M' button briefly to confirm the current setting and move to the next parameter (e.g., 'P-3' for undervoltage threshold, 'P-5' for overcurrent threshold, 't' for recovery delay time).
- Repeat step 2 and 3 for all desired parameters.
- After setting all parameters, press and hold the 'M' button again for 3 seconds to save the settings and exit the setting mode. If no button is pressed for a period, the device will automatically exit setting mode and save changes.
6.3 Display Modes and Fault Indication
The device continuously displays real-time voltage and current. In case of an overvoltage, undervoltage, or overcurrent event, the device will trip, disconnect the load, and display an error code or flashing indicator. After the fault clears and the set recovery delay time expires, the device will automatically reconnect the load.

Figure 6.1: Examples of ZS3-VA display states, including 'ON' (normal operation), 'OFF' (manual shutdown), and parameter setting modes like 'P-1' (overvoltage), 'P-3' (undervoltage), and 'P-5' (overcurrent).
7. Maintenance
The ZS3-VA protector requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines:
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the device exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Connection Check: Annually inspect all wiring connections to ensure they remain tight and free from corrosion.
- Environmental Conditions: Ensure the operating environment remains within specified temperature and humidity ranges.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on | No power supply; incorrect wiring | Check main power supply; verify input wiring (L and N) |
| Frequent tripping | Protection parameters set too low/high; unstable power supply; overloaded circuit | Adjust overvoltage/undervoltage/overcurrent thresholds; consult an electrician to check power quality or load |
| Device trips but does not reset | Fault condition persists; recovery delay time too long | Verify the fault condition has cleared; check recovery delay time setting |
| Display is blank or erratic | Internal fault; power issue | Disconnect power, wait a few minutes, then reconnect. If issue persists, contact support. |
9. Warranty and Support
For warranty information and technical support, please refer to the documentation provided with your purchase or contact your retailer/manufacturer directly. Ensure you have your product model number (ZS3-VA) and purchase details available when seeking support.
