Front Panel Controls

Setup

Powering the Unit

Your boombox can be powered by either AC power or batteries.

AC Power Operation

  1. Ensure the unit is turned off.
  2. Connect the supplied AC power adapter cord to the AC power input jack on the back of the boombox.
  3. Plug the other end of the AC power adapter into a standard wall outlet (120V AC, 60Hz).

Battery Operation

For portable use, the boombox requires 6 x 'C' size batteries (not included).

  1. Ensure the unit is turned off and disconnected from AC power.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom or rear of the unit.
  3. Insert 6 'C' size batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage and damage.

Operating Instructions

General Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the Power/Function button to turn the unit on or off.
  • Select Function: Press the Power/Function button repeatedly to cycle through CD, Radio (AM/FM), Tape, and AUX modes.
  • Adjust Volume: Rotate the Volume knob to increase or decrease the sound level.

  1. Press the Power/Function button until 'CD' mode is selected.
  2. Open the CD compartment door located on top of the unit.
  3. Place a CD (CD, CD-R, or CD-RW) onto the center spindle with the label side facing up.
  4. Close the CD compartment door firmly. The display will show the total number of tracks.
  5. Press the Play/Pause button (►/❚❚) to start playback. The current track number will be displayed.
  6. To Pause playback, press Play/Pause. Press again to resume.
  7. To Stop playback, press the Stop button (■).
  8. To Skip to the next track, press the Skip Forward button (►►).
  9. To Skip to the beginning of the current track or previous track, press the Skip Backward button (◄◄).
  10. Program Play: While in Stop mode, press the Program button. Use the Skip buttons to select desired tracks, then press Program again to confirm each selection. Press Play to start programmed playback.

Cassette Player/Recorder Operation

  1. Press the Power/Function button until 'TAPE' mode is selected.
  2. Press the Stop/Eject button (■/▲) to open the cassette compartment door.
  3. Insert a cassette tape with the open edge facing upwards and the desired side facing you.
  4. Close the cassette compartment door firmly.
  5. Press the Play button (►) to start playback.
  6. To Fast Forward, press the Fast Forward button (►►).
  7. To Rewind, press the Rewind button (◄◄).
  8. To Stop playback, press the Stop/Eject button (■/▲).
  9. Recording: To record from the radio or an external AUX source, first select the desired source (Radio or AUX). Insert a blank cassette tape. Press the Record button (●) and then the Play button (►) simultaneously to begin recording. Press Stop to end recording.

AM/FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the Power/Function button until 'RADIO' mode is selected.
  2. Extend the telescopic FM antenna for optimal FM reception. For AM reception, rotate the unit for best signal.
  3. Use the Tuning controls (often labeled ◄◄ / ►► or dedicated tuning knobs) to scan for desired radio stations. The frequency will be displayed on the screen.
  4. Auto Scan/Preset: Some models feature an auto-scan function (often labeled 'SCAN' or 'PROG/MEM'). Press and hold this button to automatically scan and save available stations. Refer to the display for preset numbers.
  5. To recall a preset station, press the MEM- or MEM+ buttons.

AUX Input Operation

  1. Press the Power/Function button until 'AUX' mode is selected.
  2. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX input jack on the boombox.
  3. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player).
  4. Start playback on your external device. The audio will be played through the boombox speakers.
  5. Adjust the volume using the boombox's Volume knob and/or your external device's volume control.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

  • Always unplug the unit from the power source before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

CD Player Care

  • Keep the CD compartment clean and free of dust.
  • Handle CDs by their edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches.
  • If a CD is dirty, wipe it gently with a soft, lint-free cloth from the center outwards.

Cassette Player Care

  • Periodically clean the tape heads and pinch rollers with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Avoid touching the tape heads with bare hands.
  • Store cassette tapes away from direct sunlight and heat.
