Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.

  • Ensure sufficient space of at least 15 inches (38 cm) from any wall or obstruction for the recliner to fully recline without interference.
  • Keep children and pets away from the reclining mechanism, especially during operation, to prevent entrapment or injury.
  • Do not allow children to play on or operate the recliner.
  • Avoid placing hands or feet near the moving parts of the reclining mechanism.
  • Do not stand on the footrest or armrests.
  • Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged. Keep it away from high-traffic areas.
  • Only use the recliner on a level surface.
  • Unplug the recliner from the power outlet before cleaning or maintenance.

Setup

Your recliner may require minimal assembly. Follow these general steps:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging materials until assembly is complete in case of return.
  2. Component Identification: Verify all parts are present according to the packing list (not provided in this manual, refer to product packaging).
  3. Backrest Attachment: If the backrest is separate, align the metal receivers on the backrest with the posts on the chair base. Push down firmly until the backrest locks into place. You should hear a click.
  4. Power Connection: Locate the power cord. Connect the power adapter to the recliner's power input, then plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. Ensure the connection is secure.
  5. Positioning: Place the recliner in its desired location, ensuring the required 15-inch (38 cm) clearance from walls or other furniture for full recline.

Swivel and Glider Functions

  • The chair features a 360-degree swivel base, allowing you to rotate freely while seated.
  • The glider function allows for a smooth back-and-forth motion. This function operates independently of the recline.

Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your recliner.

Leather Care

  • Regular Cleaning: Dust the leather regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For light cleaning, wipe with a damp cloth and then dry immediately.
  • Spills: Blot spills immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth. Do not rub. For stubborn stains, consult a professional leather cleaning service.
  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause leather to fade and dry out. Position your recliner away from direct sunlight.
  • Avoid Heat Sources: Keep the recliner away from heat sources like radiators or fireplaces, which can dry and crack the leather.
  • Conditioning: Periodically condition the leather with a reputable leather conditioner to keep it supple and prevent cracking. Follow the product manufacturer's instructions.

Mechanism Care

  • Lubrication: The reclining mechanism is designed for long-term use and typically does not require lubrication. If you notice squeaking or stiffness, contact customer support.
  • Inspections: Periodically inspect the power cord for any signs of damage. If damaged, discontinue use and contact customer support for replacement.
