Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the device.

  1. Connect the USB-C end of the charging cable to the device's charging port.
  2. Connect the USB-A end to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
  3. The device will indicate charging status on its HD display. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Battery Life: Up to 12 hours in Transmitter (TX) mode, and up to 15 hours in Receiver (RX) mode.

2. Understanding Modes (TX/RX)

The Syntech B101-BK operates in two modes:

Operating Instructions

1. Transmitter (TX) Mode Operation

Use this mode to connect your Bluetooth headphones to non-Bluetooth audio sources.

  1. Slide the mode switch on the device to the TX position.
  2. Insert the 3.5mm AUX jack into the audio output port of your source device (e.g., airplane seat audio jack, TV headphone jack). If connecting to an airplane's dual-pin audio jack, use the included dual 3.5mm AUX adapter.
  3. Press and hold the Pairing 'O' Button for 3 seconds to power on the device. Double-click the 'O' button to activate searching for Bluetooth devices. The display will show 'Pairing...'.
  4. Put your Bluetooth headphones or speakers into pairing mode. Refer to your headphone's manual for specific instructions.
  5. On the Syntech device's display, use the rotary knob to navigate and select your desired Bluetooth device. Press the Pairing 'O' Button to confirm the connection.
  6. Once connected, audio from your source device will be transmitted to your headphones. Adjust the volume using the rotary knob on the Syntech device.

2. Receiver (RX) Mode Operation

Use this mode to stream audio from your Bluetooth-enabled device to wired speakers or car stereos.

  1. Slide the mode switch on the device to the RX position.
  2. Insert the 3.5mm AUX jack into the audio input port of your wired speaker, car stereo, or home audio system.
  3. Press and hold the Pairing 'O' Button for 3 seconds to power on the device. The display will show 'Pairing...'.
  4. On your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device, go to Bluetooth settings and select 'B101' from the list of available devices to connect.
  5. Once connected, audio from your Bluetooth device will be streamed to your wired speakers. Adjust the volume using the rotary knob on the Syntech device or your source device.

3. Dual Pairing (TX Mode Only)

  1. Ensure one pair of Bluetooth headphones is already connected in TX mode.
  2. Double-click the Pairing 'O' Button to enter pairing mode for the second device. The display will show 'Pairing...'.
  3. Put the second pair of Bluetooth headphones into pairing mode.
  4. On the Syntech device's display, use the rotary knob to select the second device and press the Pairing 'O' Button to confirm the connection.
  5. Both pairs of headphones will now receive audio from the source.
