1. Product Overview

The ThinkRider X2Max is a high-performance smart direct-drive bike trainer designed for indoor cycling. 2. Setup Guide

2.1 Unpacking and Component Check

Carefully unpack all components from the box. Ensure the following items are present:

2.2 Bike Compatibility and Attachment

The X2Max trainer is compatible with a wide range of bicycles. Ensure your bike's rear wheel size and axle type match the trainer's compatibility:

  • Wheel Sizes: 24 inches, 650C, 700C, 26 inches, 27.5 inches, 29 inches.
  • Axle Compatibility: Standard 130mm/135mm Quick Release and 12x142mm/12x148mm Thru-Axle (adapters included).

To attach your bike:

  1. Remove the rear wheel from your bicycle.
  2. Select the appropriate quick release or thru-axle adapters for your bike and install them onto the trainer's axle.
  3. Carefully align your bike's chain with the trainer's cassette (cassette not included, must be installed separately if not already present).
  4. Mount the bike onto the trainer, ensuring the dropouts are securely seated on the trainer's axle.
  5. Secure the bike using the quick release lever or by tightening the thru-axle.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Powering On and Stability

Connect the power adapter to the trainer and plug it into a wall outlet. The trainer is designed for stability, featuring a wide base that ensures a secure platform during intense training sessions.

3.2 Connectivity and Software Compatibility

The X2Max trainer supports wireless connectivity via ANT+ and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), allowing it to connect with a variety of devices and cycling applications.

  • Compatible Devices: Smartphones (iOS/Android), Tablets, PCs (Mac/Windows), Cycling Computers (e.g., Garmin, Bryton).
  • Compatible Software: Onelap, Zwift, Kinomap, BKOOL Cycling, Rouvy, Wahoo SYSTM, FulGaz, TrainerRoad, ThinkRider App, and more.

To connect, enable ANT+ or BLE on your device and search for the X2Max trainer within your preferred cycling application. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair the device.

3.3 Training Experience

The direct-drive mechanism ensures a very quiet operation, with a noise level as low as 58 dB, making it suitable for use in shared living spaces. The large, heavy flywheel provides excellent inertia, mimicking the feel of outdoor riding. The trainer can simulate slopes up to 18% and deliver up to 2000W of resistance, offering challenging workouts for all fitness levels.
