Regular and proper cleaning is essential to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your air fryer.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool down completely before attempting any cleaning.
- Baskets and Crisper Plates: The 4-quart nonstick baskets and crisper plates are designed to be dishwasher safe for convenience. For manual cleaning, wash them with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembly or storage.
- Main Unit Exterior: Wipe the exterior surface of the air fryer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Interior: Clean the interior of the air fryer with a damp cloth. If necessary, a small amount of mild dish soap can be used. Ensure the interior is completely dry before the next use to prevent moisture buildup.
Storage
When the air fryer is not in use for an extended period, store it in a cool, dry place. Ensure all parts are clean and completely dry before storing to prevent mold or damage.
Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below for common issues and their potential solutions. If the problem persists, please contact customer support.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Air fryer does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet malfunction; unit not properly assembled. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Verify that both baskets are fully and correctly inserted into the main unit. |
| Food is not cooked evenly. | Baskets overloaded; food not shaken/flipped during cooking. | Avoid overloading the baskets; ensure a single layer of food for best results. Shake or flip food items halfway through the cooking cycle. |
| White smoke coming from the unit. | Grease residue from previous use; cooking very fatty foods. | Thoroughly clean the baskets and crisper plates after each use to remove any grease buildup. When cooking fatty foods, some smoke is normal; ensure proper ventilation. |
| Food is not crispy. | Too much moisture in food; not enough oil (if applicable); temperature too low. | Pat food dry before air frying. Lightly coat food with a small amount of oil for crispier results. Consider increasing the cooking temperature slightly. |
