Recording:
- One-Touch Recording: To start recording quickly, simply slide the "REC" button (on the right side) upwards. The device will begin recording immediately. To save the recording, slide the "REC" button downwards.
- Recording Quality and Noise Reduction: The recorder supports up to 1536Kbps HD sound quality. It features an advanced noise reduction chip with 7 levels of adjustment. Access these settings via the menu under Recording library > Noise reduction settings.
- Recording Sources: The device supports three recording modes: built-in microphone, external microphone, and line-in.
- Built-in Microphone: Default mode for omni-directional recording.
- External Microphone: Connect the included 3.5mm external microphone for more precise audio capture, especially useful for interviews. Ensure the recording source is set to "External microphone" in the menu.

- Timed Recording: Schedule recordings to start and stop automatically at specific times. Navigate to Recording library > Timed recording to set up schedules.
- Segmented Recording: For long recording sessions, you can set the device to automatically save files at specified intervals (e.g., 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes). This helps manage large files. Find this option under Recording library > Segmented recording.
- Recording Indicator: A slow flashing red light on the left side indicates active recording. This can be turned on/off in the settings under Recording library > Recording indicator.
Playback:
- Accessing Recordings: All recordings are stored in the "Recordings Library". Use the PREV/NEXT buttons to navigate and the Power/Play button to select and play.
- Fast Forward/Rewind: During playback, long-press the PREV/NEXT buttons to fast-rewind or fast-forward.
- A-B Repeat: For transcribing or studying, use the A-B repeat function. During playback, short press the Menu (M) button to set point A, then press it again to set point B. The device will loop playback between A and B.
- Variable Speed Playback: Adjust the playback speed from -8 to +8 to listen faster or slower. This is useful for reviewing content or learning languages. Access this in the Music library settings.
File Management:
- File Naming: Recordings are automatically named with a 14-digit number, where the first 8 digits represent the date (YYYYMMDD) and the last 6 digits represent the time (HHMMSS).
- Deleting Files: To delete a recording, select it and long-press the DEL/BACK button. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm deletion.
- Storage Location: You can choose whether to save recordings to the built-in flash memory or the TF card. Navigate to System settings > Storage location.
