3. Setup and Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure you have the necessary tools (drill, level, measuring tape) and have chosen a suitable location for optimal signal reception, free from obstructions.

3.1 Choosing an Installation Location

The mount offers 360-degree horizontal rotation and a long extension arm (29.7 inches) to clear eaves and maximize signal reception. Consider locations on walls, roofs, or eaves that provide an unobstructed view of the sky.

3.2 Installation Steps

  1. Secure the Base: Position the wall mount base on your chosen surface. Use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark the drilling points.
  2. Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes according to the marked points. Use appropriate drill bits for your wall type (wood, concrete, or brick).
  3. Mount the Base: Attach the wall mount base using the provided screws.
    • For wood walls, use the lag screws.
    • For concrete or brick walls, insert the expansion anchors into the drilled holes, then use the expansion screws.
Ensure the base is securely fastened.
  4. Attach the Arm Assembly: Connect the adjustable arm assembly to the mounted base.
  5. Tighten Screws: Use the provided wrench to tighten all screws on the arm assembly, ensuring a stable connection.
  6. Prepare Starlink Dish: Remove the original Starlink mount from your Gen 3 dish.
