3. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to properly install and set up your REDTIGER F9 Lite Dash Cam:
- Prepare the Windshield: Clean the area on your windshield where you intend to mount the dash cam. Ensure it is free of dust, dirt, and moisture for optimal adhesion.
- Apply Electrostatic Sticker: Attach one of the electrostatic stickers to the cleaned windshield area. This protects your windshield and allows for easier removal.
- Mount the Dash Cam: Secure the dash cam's bracket onto the electrostatic sticker. Ensure the camera lens has a clear view of the road and does not obstruct your driving view.
- Connect Power: Plug the 11.5ft power supply cable into the dash cam and route it along the windshield edge and down to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Use the included car charger to power the device.
- Insert Memory Card: The 32GB memory card is typically pre-inserted. If not, gently insert it into the designated card slot until it clicks into place.
- Initial Power On: Once connected to power, the dash cam will automatically turn on and begin recording. The indicator light will flash to confirm operation.
- Download the App: Search for the "REDTIGER" app on your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
- Connect via WiFi: On your smartphone, go to WiFi settings and connect to the dash cam's WiFi network (SSID and password can be found in the user manual or on the device).
- Configure Settings: Open the REDTIGER app to access live view, playback recordings, and adjust camera settings such as video resolution, loop recording duration, G-sensor sensitivity, and parking monitor modes.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Basic Recording
The dash cam automatically starts recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on and stops when the ignition is turned off. Footage is saved in continuous loops to the inserted memory card.
4.2. Loop Recording
The loop recording feature ensures that your dash cam continuously records by overwriting the oldest unlocked video files when the memory card is full. Emergency videos triggered by the G-sensor are locked and will not be overwritten.
4.3. G-Sensor Emergency Locking
The built-in G-sensor detects sudden shakes or collisions. When an impact is detected, the current video segment is automatically locked and saved to a protected folder, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This footage is crucial for insurance claims.

4.4. 24-Hour Parking Monitor
To enable 24-hour parking surveillance, an optional hardwire kit is required (sold separately). Once installed, the dash cam can monitor your vehicle even when parked. Two modes are available:
- G-sensor Monitor: Records a short emergency video when an impact is detected while parked.
- Time-Lapse Monitor: Continuously records at a low frame rate, compressing hours of footage into minutes, providing comprehensive coverage of parking events.

4.5. Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)
The ADAS features provide voice alerts to assist you while driving:
- Forward Collision Warning: Alerts you if you are approaching a vehicle too quickly.
- Start-from-Stop Alerts: Notifies you when the vehicle ahead starts moving after a stop.
- Lane Departure Voice Alerts: Warns you if the vehicle drifts out of its lane without signaling.

4.6. App Control (REDTIGER APP)
The REDTIGER APP provides full control over your dash cam via WiFi:
- Live View: Stream real-time video from the dash cam to your smartphone.
- Playback & Download: View recorded videos and download important clips directly to your phone.
- Settings Adjustment: Modify all dash cam settings, including video resolution, G-sensor sensitivity, parking modes, and more.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your dash cam:
- Clean the Lens: Regularly wipe the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality. Avoid abrasive materials.
- Memory Card Care: Format the memory card monthly using the dash cam's app or settings to prevent data corruption and ensure smooth recording. Use only high-quality, reputable memory cards.
- Temperature Control: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods. The built-in supercapacitor offers better heat resistance than traditional batteries, but extreme heat can still affect performance.
- Firmware Updates: Check the REDTIGER app periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware updated can improve performance and add new features.
- Secure Mounting: Periodically check that the dash cam is securely mounted to prevent vibrations from affecting video quality or causing the device to fall.
