Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your TP-Link Archer GXE75 router:

  1. Unpack the Router: Carefully remove the router, power adapter, RJ45 Ethernet cable, and Quick Install Guide (QIG) from the box.
  2. Position the Router: Place the router in a central location in your home, away from obstructions and other electronic devices that may cause interference. Ensure the antennas are oriented for optimal signal.
  3. Connect the Hardware:
    • Power off your modem.
    • Connect the modem's Ethernet cable to the 2.5Gbps WAN/LAN port (blue) on the Archer GXE75.
    • Connect the power adapter to the router and plug it into a power outlet.
    • Power on your modem, then power on the router. Wait for the indicator lights to stabilize.
  4. Connect to the Network:
    • Wireless Connection: Connect your computer or mobile device to the router's default Wi-Fi network (SSID and password are on the label at the bottom of the router).
    • Wired Connection: Connect your computer to one of the 1Gbps LAN ports (orange) using an Ethernet cable.
  5. Configure the Router:
    • Open a web browser and enter http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions in the Quick Setup Wizard to create a login password, set up your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password, and configure other basic settings.
    • Alternatively, download the TP-Link Tether app from your mobile app store and follow the in-app instructions for a guided setup.

Wi-Fi 6E Tri-Band Connectivity

The Archer GXE75 supports Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E, operating on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and the new 6 GHz bands. The 6 GHz band provides exclusive, congestion-free channels for Wi-Fi 6E compatible devices, offering ultra-low latency and higher speeds for gaming and VR.
