4. Setup and Assembly
The YADEA Innovator requires some assembly upon arrival. Follow these steps to prepare your bike for its first ride:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
- Unfolding the Frame: Locate the folding mechanism on the main frame. Release the latch and carefully unfold the bike until the frame locks into its riding position. Ensure all safety latches are engaged.
- Handlebar Installation: Insert the handlebar stem into the fork tube and tighten the quick-release lever or bolts securely. Adjust the handlebar height to your preference.
- Saddle Installation: Insert the seat post into the frame's seat tube. Adjust the saddle height for comfortable pedaling and secure it with the quick-release lever.
- Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread them into the crank arms (left pedal counter-clockwise, right pedal clockwise) and tighten firmly with a wrench.
- Battery Insertion: Slide the battery pack into its designated slot on the frame until it clicks securely into place. Use the key to lock it if applicable.
- Tire Inflation: Inflate tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.

5. Operating Instructions
Operating your YADEA Innovator is intuitive. Follow these steps for a smooth ride:
5.1 Powering On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the power button on the HD LCD display until it illuminates.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.
5.2 Electric Assist Modes
The bike features an AI Somatosensory Algorithm that adjusts electric auxiliary power in real-time. You can select from five power assistance modes:
- Mode 1: Assist Force 7:3 (Light assist)
- Mode 2: Assist Force 5:5 (Moderate assist)
- Mode 3: Assist Force 3:7 (Strong assist)
- Mode 4: Assist Off, 100% Force (No electric assist, pedal power only)
- Mode 5: Walking Assist (Low speed assist for walking alongside the bike)
Use the control buttons on the handlebar to cycle through these modes. The current mode will be displayed on the LCD screen.

5.3 Throttle Operation
The bike is equipped with a throttle on demand. Gently twist the throttle grip to engage the motor without pedaling. Use the throttle responsibly and in accordance with local regulations.
5.4 Lighting System
Activate the ultra-bright LED lighting system for improved visibility, especially in low-light conditions. This includes double ground laser lights and front & rear LED gene lights.

- Cleaning: Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.

- Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride and inflate to the recommended PSI. Inspect tires for wear and tear.
- Brakes: Regularly check brake pads for wear and ensure brake levers provide firm and responsive braking. Adjust or replace as needed.
