2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• Read all instructions before operating the roaster oven.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Always use oven mitts or pot holders when handling hot components.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.

4. Setup and First Use

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and components from the box.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the removable roasting pan and roasting rack in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main housing with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main housing in water.
3. Assembly: Place the removable roasting pan inside the main housing. Insert the roasting rack into the roasting pan.
4. Placement: Position the roaster oven on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other appliances to allow for proper ventilation. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit.
5. Initial Burn-Off: It is normal for a new appliance to emit a slight odor or smoke during its first use. To eliminate this, operate the empty roaster oven for approximately 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C) in a well-ventilated area. This will burn off any manufacturing residues.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Temperature Control and Heating

1. Place food inside the removable roasting pan, on the roasting rack if desired.
2. Cover the roaster oven with the self-basting lid.
3. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
4. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired temperature setting (150°F - 450°F). The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the unit is heating.
5. Once the set temperature is reached, the indicator light may cycle on and off to maintain the temperature.
6. When cooking is complete, turn the temperature dial to "OFF" and unplug the unit from the outlet.
7. Allow the roaster oven to cool completely before cleaning.

5.2 Self-Basting Lid Feature
